Because these hemp seed hearts are crushed seeds of the hemp plant, they taste like toasty little nuts and go perfectly in a big batch of morning granola. They’re also soft, which adds a nice texture in addition to the pleasant flavor. Recipe creator Cathy boils her fresh ginger slices in water and brown sugar to make a syrup and to soften the pieces. So far as granola ingredients go, this is one of the more inventive ones we have seen so far, and we love what it adds to the granola.
