Dmitry Sholokhov was born in the Eastern European country of Belarus, a Slavic nation home to a modern and progressive population. Having a family who valued intellect and education, Dmitry was introduced to the fine arts, literate, music and dance from a very early age. Dmitry departed from the Jones Group in 2012, with the goal of developing his own brand. His entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his talent for design and production, earned him a spot in the 10th season of Project Runway. During the Project Runway competition, he gained exposure with the public, thus building on his professionalism, grace, and poise, all while performing under a myriad of new pressures.
All three judges; Supermodel Heidi Klum, Fashion Giant Micheal Kors, Marie Claire fashion director Nina Garcia, praised Sholokhov’s designs, dubbing them as polished and sophisticated, highly editorial but wearable and sellable at the same time.
