Albert V. Olivieri, founder and former president of the Yoo-Hoo Chocolate Beverage Company, died Tuesday. Mr. Olivieri, who was formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, lived in Hollywood, Fla., and was 70 years old.

Yoo-Hoo was founded by the Olivieri family in the 1930's.

By 1960, it produced 600,000 cases a year of the drink at its plant in nearby Garfield. In 1961, the family sold the company to a group led by Dr. Max Geller, head of a New York advertising agency. The company has its headquarters here.

Surviving are Mr. Olivieri's wife, Mary Louise Garcia Olivieri; two daughters, Jacqueline Tucci of Hollywood and Allie Olivieri of Fort Lee, N.J.; a brother, Alfonso, of El Monte, Calif., and a sister, Lucy Catroneo of Hollywood.
