We love Bitty Baby. The cuddly doll is perfect for girls and boys ages 3 to 7. They are easy to dress and undress, and there is no hair to get tangled.
Pleasant Company introduced Bitty Baby as “Our New Baby” in 1990 to help children get used to a new baby in the family. Then the doll was renamed Bitty Baby as a doll for children ages 3-7 to care for. Today the doll, which represents a 9 month- 12 month year old (pre-walker), is available in different skin tones, hair color and eye color. Bitty Baby is a 15 inch doll with a soft body and vinyl arms, leg and head. Their hair is painted.
New dolls sell for $60. At Girl AGain we have gently uses and cleaned dolls for $20.
Bitty Baby doesn’t have a gender but most of the outfits are “girly”.
New outfits are about $30. At Girl AGain we sell gently used, washed and pressed outfits for $8 – $14
Bitty Twins were introduced in 2003. They are also 15 inches with a soft body. Like Bitty Baby, the twins come in different skin tones and eye color. But Bitty Twins are designed as boys or girls and have hair that can be brushed and styled. They represent a child age 2 to 4. Outfits are designed in boy styles and girl styles. Bitty Twins were discontinued by American Girl in 2016.
At Girl AGain we sell each twin for $35-$40.
Bitty Baby and Bitty Twin have the same body size so they can wear the same outfits (as long as you think that is appropriate!)
