Your Walt Disney World Resort holiday is almost here! I'm sure you must be so excited to take part in The World's Most Magical Celebration.
While Walt Disney World Resort is encouraging low-contact, cashless payment methods, cash is still accepted throughout the resort. If you prefer not to use a credit or debit card or other contactless methods such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, you might consider using cash to purchase a Disney Gift Card, available in most merchandise locations. Disney Gift Cards with wrist straps are sold at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, making them super convenient to use for purchasing festival snacks.
While you are welcome to use cash if that is your preference, you may wish to have a Disney Gift Card on hand to use for Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Many Quick-Service dining locations offer the ability to place and pay for your order through the My Disney Experience mobile app. I am a huge fan of this feature -- it is so convenient! My family and I browse menus and build our orders, and then when we are ready to eat just press "I'm here, prepare my order". It is such a huge time-saver -- no waiting in line to order and pay. When using a Disney Gift Card to pay for in-app purchases, I recommend saving the card numbers as a note on your phone -- that way you can just copy and paste instead of typing in the numbers.
