Since the claim "cruelty-free" is not regulated, it's important to contact brands directly to ensure that they're truly cruelty-free according to the above criteria. Fortunately, in this case, the brand was able to back up its claim and answered all of our questions via email.

R.E.M. Beauty Is Also Vegan

In addition to being cruelty-free, R.E.M. beauty is also 100% vegan, meaning that their products are free from both animal testing and animal ingredients. The brand also claims that their ingredients are ethically-sourced, and all of their suppliers must adhere to a strict code of conduct which includes fair wages and working conditions for all workers.

About R.E.M. Beauty

The brand was created with the intention of being inclusive for all skin types and tones, with a wide range of shades for both face and lips. The goal is to make everyone feel beautiful and confident, and to help them achieve their most vivid dreams.

"I love make up, I love how it makes me feel, I love how instrumental it is to my art and to one’s sense of self and artistic expression. I want to help encourage others to feel even more beautiful, to create, to tell their stories creatively and express themselves."

- Ariana Grande

We're excited to see this brand grow and hope that they continue to be a force for good in the beauty industry. Currently, R.E.M. Beauty is available exclusively at rembeauty.com.
