Become a Pinterest Manager And Make Money From Home — Alma Bradford (2024)

So many business owners need help using Pinterest.

If you are a Social Media Manager or a Virtual Assistant, adding Pinterest Management can really help you grow your business.

The great thing about offering this service is that you can schedule pins using online tools like Tailwind which can save you a lot of time.

You can even create a Pinterest Management Agency where you hire people like Virtual Assistants to help you each month.

Offering Pinterest management can allow you to bring in steady income each month because pinning is something that has to happen on an ongoing basis.

If you setup the right pricing packages, you can scale your business to thousands of dollars each month.

Why Pinterest Management?

I often hear other business owners say that Pinterest seems very confusing to them.

They don’t understand how to get visibility on their pins or use Pinterest to get more website traffic.

Business owners are always looking to hire a Virtual Assistant or a Social Media Manager to help them navigate how Pinterest works.

As a Pinterest Manager, your job will be to help your clients grow their website traffic and also grow their email list (depending on the type of business they have).

Pinterest is the perfect platform for businesses who blog on a regular basis.

What Does a Pinterest Manager Do?

As a Pinterest manager you can get paid on a month basis to do the following:

  • Setup new Pinterest accounts for clients

  • Optimize Pinterest profiles with SEO keywords

  • Create rich pins

  • Create Pinterest boards

  • Create Pinterest images

  • Schedule pins on tools like Tailwind

  • Do manual pinning (if requested)

  • Guide your clients on the best way to use Pinterest

I have a FREE client onboarding guide and checklist to help you get new clients for your services and onboarding them correctly.

How Do You Get Started?

If you don’t have a website, you might want to consider creating one.

But don’t panic if you don’t have one. You can still make money as a freelancer or service provider without a website.

When I first started as a social media manager, I had ZERO website.

But I still was able to get clients and make over $1,000 per month helping them with social media and blog writing.

So if you don’t have the time to create a website, you can create a Facebook business page.

It’s an easy and free way to establish a presence online without spending money right away to build a website.

In the “About” section of your Facebook business page, make sure you explain exactly what you do and a way for people to contact you.

You can post information on your Facebook page about the benefits of using Pinterest for marketing and other helpful business advice.

Then share your page with family and friends and tell everyone about the new services you are offering.

Learn Pinterest Marketing

If you are new to using Pinterest for business, then you want to get yourself familiar with how to use it to promote a business.

I wrote a blog article that explains how to grow a Pinterest account and get website traffic. You can read it here.

The best way for you to help your clients grow their Pinterest presence is to help them promote their blog posts.

It’s really easy to promote blog posts on Pinterest.

But even more importantly, you want to help your clients generate new leads each month.

A good way to do that is to get people to click on pins, then go to a blog post, then get them to sign up for your client’s email newsletter.

Setup Your Pinterest Management Website

If you are serious about making money doing Pinterest management, then you want to create a professional looking website.

You can also use your website to promote your own blog posts on Pinterest.

Your website doesn’t have to be elaborate or even have that many pages on it. A simple website can have the following pages:

  • Home

  • About

  • Services

  • Contact

  • Blog (optional)

That’s it. When you are in the initial phases of growing your business, I recommend that you keep your website very simple.

You also need to be clear about what types of clients you want to help.

Decide whether or not you want to help certain industries like fashion bloggers, e-commerce businesses, coaches, consultants, or any niche you have an interest in.

How Much Should You Charge?

You can charge anywhere from $200 - $1,000 per month or even more. You need to decide on what pricing structure works best for your business.

It also depends a lot on how much work you will be doing each month.

To grow a profitable Pinterest Management business, you need to have multiple clients.

The great thing is that Pinterest doesn’t have to take that much time to manage each month, especially when you use a tool like Tailwind to schedule all of your client’s pins.

So if you have 10 clients at $600 per month, that’s $6,000 you could be making monthly.

And if you outsource some of your work to a virtual assistant, you can save a lot of time and even take on more clients.

You can create your own Pinterest Management Agency. Doing this will allow you to make more money by taking on more clients.

Then you can outsource some of the work which will save you time and headaches.

How to Find Clients?

There are a lot of different ways to find clients both online and even in person.

One of the ways that I found my first clients or my Social Media Management business was on freelancer websites like Upwork.

I also found clients by networking in person at business events in my local city.

I joined a local chamber of commerce and a small business networking group which allowed me to meet new clients.

You can also use your blog to promote your business and your brand and ultimately attract clients to you.

Offer Social Media Management

Many of your clients may also need help with social media management in addition to Pinterest. Offering this can also help you grow your business.

With social media management, you would be helping your clients post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

There are plenty of automated scheduling tools you can use to make your job easy.
