3. Iguazu Falls – Walkways

Part of the reason Iguazu Falls is such a popular tourist destination is because in addition to the Garganta del Diablo, there are a large number of smaller, less intense waterfalls within the surrounding forest that visitors can explore.

Walking through the forest

Apart from the two main walking circuits, which are fashioned with metal walkways and handrails, Iguazu Falls National Park also has other walking trails that are more remotely located, giving guests the opportunity to hike, rather than walk, to these smaller waterfalls. At the end of one of these trails there is a waterfall with a small area below in which visitors can swim. By inspecting the map of the National Park, you’ll notice this feature.

If it is something you want to do, it is recommended to finish everything you want to do in the main area of the park, to make sure you don’t encounter time problems, and miss out on the main event.
