DIY Custom T-shirt | No Transfer Paper (2024)

Have you ever wanted to put something on a t-shirt but didn'thave that special transfer paper? Well, worry no more I got you covered. With a few basic things you should have around the house, we will transform your basic shirt into a graphic tee in no time.

Before we get started here are a few things you will need:

  • Plastic wrap
  • Printer (no printer... no problem just pick an image you like out of a magazine)
  • Parchment paper
  • T-Shirt

Directions

  1. Search the internet and find your favorite book, meme, actor, character, or image. Be sure to size the picture to fit your shirt then print. (Remember you can use an image from a magazine if you don't have a printer at home.)
  2. Cut out image.
  3. Take plastic wrap and cover the picture (fold excess to the back of the image).
  4. Place the wrapped image on the t-shirt. Cover with parchment paper once its where you want it.
  5. Take the iron, which should be set on high and begin to iron over image. Make sure to iron well over the corners so the image does not pill off.
  6. Once done ironing let cool for 1-2 minutes and peel off the parchment paper.
  7. All done.

Tips

  • The entire back must be wrapped in plastic wrap.
  • Don't forget to turn the steam off on the iron.
  • Make sure you are ironing on a flat surface.
  • Hand wash shirt to preserve the image.
