Extensions
Hi
We have a side and rear extension being done at the moment with the utility and the kitchen next to each other.Do we need to put a fire door between them or a normal glazed door ok.
Thanks

No you do not need a fire door for a ground floor extension, you will need smoke & possibly heat detectors though

It’s not normally a requirement for fire doors on ground floor extension. Smoke and heat alarm will probably be required. Any doubt, it’s always best to ask the building inspector.
