- Emmerdale's Meena Jutla exit explained as prison sentence revealed
It's judgement day.
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Meena Jutla has had her prison sentence revealed.
The character's exit was finally sealed following a reign of terror that has lasted for close to a year in the soap, as she faced judgment in the courtroom in Monday's episode.
Meena has relished in the attention of her criminal case, taking pride in the misery her crimes have caused the residents of Emmerdale and her own sister Manpreet.

The residents of Emmerdale essentially boycotted Meena's sentencing hearing to deny her the attention she craved, instead holding a memorial ceremony in the village to dedicate a garden in honour of Leanna and other victims.
Meena could barely contain her displeasure over a mostly empty courtroom to witness her culminating moment, demanding the judge "wait" until more people showed up.
The judge responded by ordering "silence" as the proceedings commenced. Meena was eventually overjoyed to see Manpreet quietly ducking into the courtroom to watch the sentencing.
For Leanna, Andrea and Ben's deaths, she was sentenced to successive terms of life in prison, each with a 25-year tariff. The judge explained she'd remain in custody "for the rest of [her] natural life".
"You've got me wrong," a shocked Meena insisted.
Manpreet looked on as Meena screamed for her sister to help her as she was forcibly removed from the courtroom, yet no help would come. Outside the courtroom, Manpreet let out a sigh of relief while, back in the village, Liam told Jacob that he felt "ready to heal now".
"To Andrea, to Ben, to my darling Leanna, I know you'll bloom here as you did in life. Rest well. We're at peace with you now," Liam said while dedicating the garden.
The final image of the episode was Meena locked in her prison cell, banging on the door for attention. There would be no answer…
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
