The following contains spoilers for Family Guy, Season 21, Episode 20, "Adult Education (Part 2)," currently streaming on Fox Now and Hulu.
Family Guy's Season 21 finale just married off Meg Griffin, however, fans shouldn't worry that this will result in star Mila Kunis' departure.
According to reputable outlet TVLine, Kunis will continue to voice Meg when Family Guy returns for Season 22 in 2024. This won't come as much of a surprise to members of the animated sitcom's fanbase who have already watched Season 21's final episode, "Adult Education (Part 2)," which ends with Meg walking out on her marriage to Russian hacker Ivan after learning he was only with her to get a green card. After exacting her revenge on Ivan, Meg is last seen (presumably) en route from Russia back to the Griffins' hometown, Quahog.

Family Guy was one of three high-profile cartoon series renewed for an additional two seasons by Fox's parent company, Disney, in January 2023. The two other shows given the green light for more episodes were The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers. "With this trio of renewals, we celebrate excellence in animation on Fox, our wonderful, long-time partnership with 20th Television and the brilliant creators and incredible voices behind these forever favorites," Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming for Fox Entertainment, said at the time. Thorn also praised the longevity of The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob's Burgers, which he described as a testament to the "infinite fan affinity" for each property.
Family Guy Producers Talk Cancel Culture
Family Guy's continued success is especially noteworthy, considering the animated sitcom regularly pushes the envelope when it comes to taboo topics. Executive producers Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Rich Appel touched on this in a recent interview, chalking up the show's ability to effectively navigate so-called "cancel culture" to the more obviously fictional nature of its animated cast of characters. Sulkin also credited Appel with managing any concerns raised internally by Fox, noting that Appel's background as a former lawyer makes him "uniquely qualified to fight network standard notes."

In the same interview, MacFarlane, Sulkin and Appel also recalled their experience interacting with George Lucas during the production of Family Guy's Star Wars parody episodes. Sulkin described the Star Wars creator as a good sport who "laughed the whole time," while Appel noted that a similar crossover project is unlikely to happen again now that Lucas has sold the franchise to Disney.
