The latest episode of The Kardashians includes a scene which, truly, may be one of the most awkward interactions we've ever seen between the sisters, and that includes the time Kim told Kourtney and Khloé they looked like "clowns". So, yeah, this is going some. In the scene Kim and Kris have to break the news to Kendall that she has been bumped off the cover of US Vogue for Kim, and the whole thing is sending fans.
During the episode Kim and momager Kris sat down together to have a conversation about her ongoing rebrand following her split from Kanye West, who famously did a lot of her styling during their marriage.
In the conversation Kris reveals to Kim that Kendall's agent called her that morning to say that while US Vogue had originally offered a cover to Kendall they now want Kim instead.
"So, last week, American Vogue did a fantastic, amazing cover trial with Kendall," Kris tells Kim. "And as they were shooting, they said, 'Oh, by the way, we want to offer Kendall the cover of the March issue.' I was so excited."
However, she continues, "So I just got a call this morning from Kendall's agent, and he says, 'Good news, bad news. I am not sure that Kendall is going to be right for this cover.' So I said, 'What's the good news?' He said, 'They asked Kim to do the cover'."
Yikes. Obviously the whole thing is pretty awkward, and Kris knows it. "This is where you can't be a manager, you have to be a mom," she tells Kim.
The pair then have a discussion about who is going to break the news to Kendall, and Kim promptly tells her mum, "Well, I'm not doing it."
In the following scene Kris goes to speak to Kendall about the whole thing, at which point she discovers that Kendall's agent already broke the news to her. This is where things get even more uncomfortable.
Kendall very graciously explains that she already knew and adds that she is happy for Kim, adding, "It would've been great. I'm not tripping. I'm happy to give it up to my sister."
Like we say, very gracious. However, unsurprisingly, fans found the whole thing just too awkward to write off.
It's just all drama, all the time, isn't it?
