Is the FedEx website not working? ›

Quarterly operating income for the air-based Express unit fell 60%, hit by volatile macroeconomic conditions, muted retailer restocking and reduced demand from its largest customer, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). The U.S. Post Office has been diverting more packages from higher-margin air services to ground services.

FedEx is shuttering four facilities in southwestern Florida in 2024, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notices filed on April 17. The four closures will result in the layoff of 220 couriers and eight managers.

If a shipment requires, either an indirect, direct or adult signature, and a delivery attempt is made, but no one is there to sign for the package, the driver will leave a door tag at the recipient's door. If no signature is required, the shipment will be left at the recipient's door.

Note: In a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 1, 2024, FedEx Corporation announced the agreement between FedEx Express and the United States Postal Service (“USPS”) for domestic transportation services will expire by its terms on September 29, 2024.

“No scheduled delivery date at this time” means we don't have a delivery estimate, or we don't have the package yet. You might see this status if your shipment is delayed or there's a handling exception. (See below for exception examples.)
