Former “Project Runway” participant Morgan Quinn is back in court for allegedly taking a catwalk on the wrong side of the law, the Daily News has learned.
Quinn, 33, has been charged with stealing makeup and sunglasses from a pal’s purse, according to records and sources.
Court records show Quinn got a desk appearance ticket for the alleged July 31 purse pilfering in a W. 53rd St. apartment. She was charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property in the fifth-degree.
The victim, Wimon Perez, 49, was described as a friend of Quinn’s who lived there, police sources said.
A tenant named Harry Mendez answered the door at the first-floor unit and denied knowing Quinn or knowing about the incident.
The super at the building told the News that the apartment was a problematic drug spot.
“There were all kinds of people coming in and out of that spot at all hours,” said the super, Freddie Carrela.
When reached by phone Wednesday, Quinn said she was at a meeting and quickly ended the call.
The towering blonde became a regular in Manhattan Criminal Court beginning in August 2013, when authorities said she falsely reported a robbery.
She told cops she was mugged on Aug. 7, 2013, and that the suspect took “money, credit cards, and a ring worth $2,000” after threatening her with a sharp object, court papers said.
In October 2014, after numerous court dates and a parade of flamboyant and often revealing outfits, the model agreed to one day of community service in exchange for a dismissal.
Prosecutors conceded they were wrong on their theory that Quinn made up the story, but maintained the incident was not as she “originally reported.”
“Everything I said was stolen, was stolen!” Quinn boasted after the proceeding.
She was also arrested in 2004 on charges she used a livery driver to ferry her around for six hours but left without paying, police sources said. It was not immediately clear how that case was resolved.
