Villa Maggio (named after Sinatra’s character in the film From Here to Eternity, for which he won an Oscar) was not the singer’s only home in the area. In 1947, he commissioned architect E. Stewart Williams to build what would become Twin Palms, his four bedroom midcentury-modern home in Palm Springs proper. Today, that home is available as a vacation rental.
