Our lawyers and policy experts have secured desegregation, voting rights, and justice for majority Black cities like Jackson, Mississippi and Mason, Tennessee.
The NAACP is a driving force for good in Black communities across the country. We provide scholarships for students, grants for Black entrepreneurs, and much-needed resources when disaster hits.
Our vote is thriving. We recruited 30,000 volunteers and distributed $7 million to support voter mobilization efforts during the 2022 Midterm Elections. Black voters showed up and cast ballots that will change their communities.

As soon as members join, ensure they feel the value of their affiliation. Create a welcome pack with discounts, merchandise and helpful information. Encourage new members to network and attend events so they can connect with, and be inspired by, more established professionals in your association.
To summarize, membership has five attributes: boundaries, emotional safety, a sense of belonging and identification, personal investment, and a common symbol system.

By extension, a member engagement strategy is the messaging, content, and opportunities that associations share with their members to ensure that they remain engaged. Essentially, once a member joins your association, you need to actively work to nurture member relationships.
A dues increase generates additional income for years to come. A 5% increase today will result in a significant 60% rise in revenue over a decade. This can be a game-changer for many associations.
Take the current member count for the month and subtract the number from June of the previous fiscal year. We then take that difference and divide by the base number to get a percentage of growth or decline.
