Forever Marilyn arrived in Palm Springs for the first time on May 14, 2O12. Following a six-day road trip and a five-day assembly, the sculpture was officially welcomed at an unveiling on May 24, 2O12. After an extension of her original exhibition duration, she departed Palm Springs to a rousing farewell ceremony featuring the Gay Men’s Chorus and a song by Carol Channing.

PS Resorts spent the next few years working on her return to Palm Springs! She was officially welcomed back on June 20, 2021 at a special ceremony drawing hundreds of supporters and fans – and will now, at last, be a permanent feature of the Palm Springs landscape.
