Dear Picasso, Take Note!

Before starting, we advise you to ensure a well ventilated and airy workspace, as breathing enamel paint might not be healthy and it’d also help the paint layers to dry up quicker.

As a prerequisite, sand the surface you’re about to paint by scrubbing off any debris or unevenness on it using an emery paper.

The First Step – Use a Primer

Begin with applying a coating of Indigo Exterior Wall Primer, as it will make the wall’s surface smooth and add to its smooth finish after the enamel paint has been applied. It also adds to your wall’s durability and fights moisture and alkali.

It’s time to Paint!

Wait for the Primer to dry and then, add your first coat of the paint. Enamel Paint can be applied using a sprayer or a brush, both. If it’s a brush that you’re using, we would advise you to dip it in turpentine for thinning. 15-20% by volume of decent quality turpentine can be used for thinning Indigo Enamel paint for the perfect brushing consistency.

Start with a stir stick, and use it to mix well the enamel paint before you dip your brush into it. The most satisfying part of any painting activity is dipping your brush in the thick consistency of the paint for walls, and as you do so in the next step – make sure you shake off the excess paint from the brush.

Voila! it’s painting time. Begin with your wall’s center and paint your way outwards from there. It’s up to you if you wish to give it a second coat, but ensure that the previous one is dried well before beginning with the next. Preferably, a wait of 6-8 hours between the two coats is perfect.

Seal the Deal!

In the end, all that is left to do is wait for your masterpiece to dry. Thus, you’ve successfully applied enamel paint to your walls.
