Learn how to store latex correctly with these simple steps and your latex will always look in tip-top shape.
- Before storing, be sure to thoroughly clean and dry all metal fastenings and buttons to avoid any possibility of staining.
- Some metals, especially copper, will stain the latex.
- Ideally, hang your garment in a cool and dry place on a wooden or plastic hanger only.
- If folding the garment and storing for an extended time, place white tissue paper between the latex and any metal fastenings or buttons to prevent staining.
- Always storedifferent coloursof latex separately.Light colours, white and transparent latexare more likelyto stainfrom extended contact with other colours.
- For best results, put away each latex garment in its own plastic clothing bag.

BEWARE & TAKE CARE|TO AVOID DESPAIR
Because Latex Rubber is a natural and delicate material, there area fewthings it doesn’t like. Protect it from:
Household oils, Mechanical oils, Grease and Solvents can all cause severe damage to latex
Extreme heat can melt it, so keep latex away from hair straighteners, irons, heaters,etc.
Prolonged exposure todirectsunlight, water and humidity can cause discolouration and contribute to deterioration.
Store it dry. Give it enough time to drip dry and air dry after washing. Don’t use a radiator or tumble dryer. If in a rush, you can use a hairdryer on medium heat.
Some metals, especially copper, will stain the latex. Packing your latex garments in their own hanging plastic garment bags will help protect them.
Sharp objects, including long nails, can make holes or rip your latex garment. Latex can tear if pulled or snagged.
Nicotine will stain the latex.
The salt in your sweat will damage the material in the long-term if you don’t wash and oil or powder your garment after every wear.
