How to Unlock La Varita
La Varita is easily the most involved Resolver to unlock, as you must complete the Triada Blessings Yaran Story and three Triada Relic treasure hunts, which takes you to all three main regions of Yara (Madrugada, Valle de Oro and El Este), then back to Isla Santuario.

This is well worth it however as you'll also unlock a full set of new gear, gain the Stealth Amigo Oluso, the Stealth Supremo Triador, and reveal the locations of every Oluwa Shrine on the map!
La Varita is the only Resolver that is not purchased from Juan or his arms dealers.

How to Use La Varita
Here's everything you need to know about how best to use La Varita in combat:
- What makes the La Varita a powerhouse in battle is that it has a maxed-out damage stat, meaning that it can one-shot any enemy in the game across large distances.
- On top of that, it pairs with the Triador Supremo so that, when it's activate, it's able to SHOOT THROUGH SOLID OBJECTS. This makes the La Varita the ultimate surprise weapon because, and we repeat, YOU CAN ONE-SHOT ENEMIES THROUGH WALLS!
- As well, just like the Oluso panther Amigo, enemies killed by the La Varita disintegrate into smoke, meaning enemies will never be alerted by finding the body.
- The La Varita is also able to fire nine rounds in a revolver fashion, meaning there's no time wasted loading in the next shot and it can fire VERY quickly.
- The major downside however is that it has a long reload time of three and a half seconds as Dani loads in each individual round, which can leave you wide open. That said, the reload time is reduced while the Triador is active.
- As well, the La Varita has no form of noise suppression, which means you'll alert every enemy in the area by firing it. Obviously, this limits its use as a stealth weapon unless you can plan ahead to avoid detection.
Here is what La Varita's mod upgrades do:

- Killer's Covenant: While the Triador Supremo is active, any headshot will refund the round. While risky, if you can land headshots reliably you'll be able to extend the amount of time you can use La Varita before going through the reload animation.
- Falcon's Eye: Increases the Tirada's zoom when aiming down the sights. This improves the weapon's accuracy and effectiveness across longer distances.
- Scorched Earth: Disintegrated enemies leave a pool of sticky fire on the ground. This may start setting the environment on fire, blocking enemy access in tight spaces. Or, in an already-heated engagement, set their comrades on fire in the middle of the battle, which is quite distracting for them.
