Obtain the appropriate plug adapter for the country you'll be visiting. The United States uses the Type B outlet. Most of Europe and the Middle East use a Type C plug, while Central America and Asia tend to use Type A, and Africa tends to use Type C or E. Australia uses Type I, and Great Britain uses Type G. You can purchase these adapters -- or a full set -- from most electronics stores, including the Apple Store.

Push the prongs of the plug adapter into the wall outlet when you want to charge your phone.
