Indian cinema has the power to influence the thinking of the people. It has changed society and social trends and has introduced new fashion in the community. Films can go a long way to arouse national consciousness and utilize the youth's energy in social reconstruction and nation-building. If the cinema industry produces noble and inspiring films, the cinema will be a trustworthy philosopher and guide of the masses. Cinema has remained the most crucial source of media for mass communication.

The media has produced much as it touches the innermost layer of man. Thus, it will be wrong to say that cinema is like a mirror that reflects the hopes, aspirations, contradictions, and frustration of society, leading to an attachment of social responsibility to it. It becomes essential to avoid the stories which lead to the erosion of social and moral values.

The influence of cinema cannot be underestimated as it helps in the learning process. Thus what is seen on the cinema screen is automatically absorbed by those who see the picture. The person laughs at films and cries with them: our dress, hairstyle shape, and footwear matter with cinema.

We all know that the effect of the cinemas is on the youth and illiterate. From the 30s to 60s, Indian cinema has been expert in influencing the youth icon. It has presented and tackled issues from burning issues to freedom to unemployment, from dowry to women's emancipation, from poverty to exploitation, from social conflict to national integration. With the transformation of society, the issue confronting it on changing, and the themes adopted for filmmaking.

Hence, the filmmakers need to understand that they, too, have a responsibility and must not forget their duty toward society.
