Without a doubt! Math is essential in all aspects of life. And by maths, I don't mean the difficult differentiation and integration of class 11 and 12, but rather elementary level maths up to class 10th. As a fashion professional, knowing fundamentals such as averages, percentages, sums, and so on will help you. The importance is in how quickly and accurately you can perform these functions; it's also a big plus if you can do it mentally and without needing to use a calculator every time.

No maths in not compulsory for fashion design. Students seeking admission in Fashion Designing courses at UG level must have passed their class 12th examination with not less than 50 per cent from a recognised board in India. You can give entrance exams like NID DAT, UCEED and NIFT. Please check the eligibility criteria before applying. The fees for Bachelor of Design in NIFT ranges between Rs 1.5 Lakhs to Rs. 10 Lakhs. Look as I have searched there is not much need of mathematics in your subjects for studying fashion designing. So it is not that compulsory to have Mathematics for studying fashion designing.
