According to a survey conducted in January 2024 in Japan, Nike was particularly popular among younger respondents from 15 to 19 years old, with 23 percent naming it their favorite sneaker brand.The results revealed that internationally successful footwear and sports brands headquartered in the United States and Germany were particularly popular among younger Japanese consumers.
Two brands, namely ASICS and Sketchers, were solely mentioned by the age group of 15 to 19 years and the age group of 60 to 64 years, respectively.
