First of all it's not a bad airport, there are a lot worse ( my country's included) but since it's a popular stop to go to SE Asia, you should try to avoid it at all costs. It's so big and empty - nothing to do for a 10 hour layover. No wifi and no way to connect to internet or buy a sim card.
