What is Laced?

According to the official online website: ''Laced is an online marketplace for buying and selling the world's most coveted items.

''Unlike a retailer, stock levels on the Laced marketplace are entirely dependent on whether or not there are users selling the item.

''Laced acts as the middleman between buyer and seller, offering a streamlined authentication process and timely delivery.''

The online marketplace is home to a number of big branded names and luxury footwear items, including winter favourites such as UGG, to popular footwear brands such as Nike and New Balance.

When was Laced created?

London-based Laced was founded in 2018 by CEO Chris Gibbons.

The aim behind the online marketplace was ''to make access to the latest sneakers as easy as possible''.

Gibbons explained: ''At the heart of the Laced platform and mission lies our belief that everyone, wherever they are, should be able to go online, purchase luxury goods and have them delivered to their door in the easiest way possible.''

The Laced founder added: ''Expansion into Europe means we will be putting more genuine items in the hands of more customers, which has been our goal from the very start.''

Is Laced a legitimate website?

The answer is yes, Laced is indeed a genuine reseller platform that you can use to buy and sell sneakers.

The online marketplace has thousands of reviews and a Trustpilot score of 4.4 out of 5.

Trustpilot is an open, online review platform where any consumer with a buying or service experience can review any company and any company can invite and respond to reviews for free.

As well as this, in order to ensure each item is guaranteed authentic, Laced has a dedicated team of in-house authenticators that thoroughly check every item before it's delivered to the buyer - ensuring the item is guaranteed authentic, unused and in its original packaging.

If the item fails authentication, it’ll be rejected and sent back to the seller and the buyer will be issued a full refund.

If it passes, the item will be sent straight on to the buyer.

In an interview with TechFundingNews.com, Chris Gibbons, founder and CEO of Laced, said: ''We are driven by our belief that everyone deserves access to luxury goods.

''Our technology and team of experts not only democratise this access, but also ensures that all products are authentic, and that each transaction is safe and secure.''

As well as a dedicated team of of in-house authenticators, Laced also boats 129Kfollowers on the social media platform Instagram.

There Laced describes itself as ''The UK & Europe’s Authentic Sneaker Marketplace'' and shares snaps of the latest footwear items to land on the website, as well as information about gift giveaways and terms and conditions.
