Yes! In fact, we sell replacement lenses for glasses in a variety of styles, prescriptions strengths, and options. Whether you need to replace your current prescription, or you've damaged your current glasses and need to replace the lenses, reach out to us. We can help you keep the glasses style you love without having to replace the entire pair of frames.

Replace Lenses in Existing Frames

In most cases, placing a new pair of lenses into a pair of old frames is relatively painless. If you have an existing pair of glasses that you love but need a new prescription, reach out to us directly. We may be able to help you keep the frames you love by trading out the old lenses for new ones. Follow these steps to ensure a quick and easy lens replacement process.

How To Order Replacement Lenses for Your Current Frames

  • Call us at 1-800-248-9427 and ask for an optician to help you with lenses only.
  • Mail the following items to us:
    • Your frame
    • Your valid prescription
    • Signed frame waiver (View the Waiver – PDF)
  • Once we receive your frames, prescription, and waiver, we will call you to confirm and place the lens order.

When shipping your frames to us, please send SIGNATURE REQUIRED through FedEx or UPS and purchase insurance for your frames. To prevent your package being lost, please do not use USPS.

How will I know which lenses to choose?

The replacement lenses you choose will depend on your needs, including progressive or trifocal lenses, photochromic or transition lenses, or tinted sunglass lenses. Our staff of trained opticians can help walk you through the options and find the perfect pair of lenses for your frames. We use Digital Lens Technology to get the most accurate prescription on any pair of replacement lenses.

Will insurance cover the cost of replacement lenses?

Insurance coverage for replacement lenses varies, therefore you will have to check with your specific provider to see what they will and will not cover. To file a claim with your insurance carrier, you can send them your receipt for reimbursem*nt. For more information, see our Vision Insurance page.

How long will it take to complete my lens order?

Replacement lenses should take 6-9 days, plus shipping in each direction. Once we receive your eyeglasses, our opticians will contact you within 1-2 business days. Lens and lab processing for replacement lenses usually takes 5-7 business days before shipping. Your lenses will then ship as soon as our quality Control Department does a final inspection to ensure 100% accuracy to make sure that your prescription is correct.

What are my shipping options for replacement lenses?

If you send a pair of frames to us for replacement lenses, we ask that you send them via FedEx or UPS with a signature upon receipt. If you are ordering lenses to be shipped directly to you, see our different shipping options for how the glasses with replacement lenses will be delivered to you.

When is payment required?

Payment is required at the time the optician calls you to place the replacement lens order.

What if my frame is no longer under warranty? Is it risky to send it?

We take the utmost care with your frames, and although breakage is very rare, accidents do happen. Due to the fact that frames may become more brittle over time, we will need for you to sign a waiver agreeing that we will not be held responsible in the event your frame breaks. What brands of frames will you accept?

We only replace lenses for glasses from brands we currently carry, in styles that are currently for sale on the website. Browse our entire list of top brands to see if your current pair of frames are available and in stock. Some proprietary brands, including Oakley and Costa, will replace lenses through their own replacement programs. While we cannot fix or replace lenses from these companies, we can direct you to their customer support if necessary.

Can I add a prism to my lenses?

We can make lenses that include a prism. All prescription orders are verified by one of our opticians. If your written prescription has a prism, we will confirm with you before crafting your custom lenses. There will be a slight up-charge for adding a prism to your prescription.
