The following is a list of Pokémon currently owned by Goh. As his goal is to catch every Pokémon that he meets on his way to catch Mew, Goh owns a multitude of Pokémon species, most of which he usually keeps at the Cerise Laboratory. Cinderace and Grookey are the only ones that he permanently keeps in his party.

Caterpie and Metapod
Caterpie and Metapod were encountered at Vermilion Forest. Goh caught Caterpie after finding it eating a leaf, while Metapod was caught shortly after Goh and Ash knocked it out of a tree.


In Getting More Than You Battled For!, Goh brought Caterpie with him to Cero Island while searching for Mew. When he and Ash got stuck in the middle of a swamp, they used Caterpie's thread to get back onto solid land.

Caterpie's only known move is String Shot.

Venomoth and Venonat
Venomoth and Venonat were encountered at Vermilion Forest. Goh caught Venomoth after spotting it flying through the air. Venonat was found sleeping in a tree, but Goh's attempt to catch it failed when Venonat broke out of his Poké Ball. With Scorbunny's help, Goh battled Venonat and managed to catch it.


Venomoth's only known move is Stun Spore.
Venonat's only known move is Poison Powder.

Paras and Parasect were encountered at Vermilion Forest. They were found trying to climb a pair of trees and were easily caught by Goh at the same time.

Butterfree
Butterfree was encountered at Vermilion Forest. He was found resting on a large tree, which Goh climbed with Ash's help. When Goh accidentally dropped his Poké Ball, Butterfree attempted to flee, but it was caught when Scorbunny kicked the Poké Ball at him.


In A Snow Day for Searching!, Butterfree was among the Pokémon that Goh used to help find a Cubone's bone. Once they found the Mankey that stole it, Butterfree helped attack it.


Butterfree's only known move is Stun Spore.

Pinsir
Pinsir was encountered at Vermilion Forest. She attacked Ash and Pikachu, trapping them in a ring of large stones. She then went after Goh, who threw random objects in an attempt to defend himself, eventually accidentally throwing a Poké Ball and catching her.


Pinsir's only known move is Rock Tomb.

Weedle and Kakuna were encountered at Vermilion Forest. Weedle was found sitting on a tree while Kakuna was found dangling from a tree along with other members of its species.

Beedrill
Beedrill was encountered at Vermilion Forest. It was part of a swarm of Beedrill that attacked Goh when he caught Kakuna. When the others were trapped by Pikachu's Electroweb, Goh caught the lone Beedrill that wasn't hit, assuming it was the strongest one.


In Raid Battle in The Ruins!, Goh used Beedrill to cross the Desert Resort to reach the Colossus Ruins. It was later used in a Raid Battle against a giant Golurk, but it was knocked out by a single attack.

In A Snow Day for Searching!, Beedrill was among the Pokémon that Goh used to help find a Cubone's bone.

Beedrill's known moves are Twineedle and Aerial Ace.

Scyther → Scizor
Scizor was first encountered as a Scyther at Vermilion Forest. During their first encounter, it easily repelled Goh's Poké Ball and sent him and Scorbunny flying. Goh later encountered Scyther again, this time using Scorbunny to battle it first. Together, Goh and Scorbunny weakened Scyther enough for Goh to successfully capture it.


In Searching for Chivalry!, Goh transferred Scyther through a trade machine while having it hold a Metal Coat that he received from Wikstrom. This allowed Scyther to evolve into a Scizor.

Scizor's known moves are Air Slash, Slash, Swords Dance, and X-Scissor.

Tentacool was caught at Vermilion Harbor. When a group of Tentacool appeared at the harbor, Goh attempted to catch one of them, but it dodged the Poké Ball, causing this one to get caught instead.


Tentacool's only known move is Ice Beam.

Dewgong
Dewgong was caught by Goh to carry him and Ash across the sea while trying to find the Dragonite Island. However, along the way, it saw another Dewgong and fell in love with it, inadvertently chasing it into a storm, where Ash and Goh fell off of its back. It later reunited with them at the island, having failed to find the other Dewgong.


Dewgong's only known move is Ice Beam.

Cubone was encountered at a park in Vermilion City. After witnessing Cubone have its bone stolen by a trio of Mankey, Goh agreed to help retrieve its lost item. With the help of his Pokémon and Ash, Goh was able to reunite Cubone with its bone. Afterwards, Cubone decided to join Goh's team and allowed itself to be caught by him.

Goh caught Farfetch'd while he was participating in a Pokémon Orienteering competition. During the first two attempts to catch it, Farfetch'd deflected the thrown Poké Balls with its leek. Then, Goh faked it out during the third attempt and caught it while its guard was down.

Exeggcute → Exeggutor
Goh encountered Exeggcute while he and Ash were searching for a Pokémon Egg. Goh initially thought Exeggcute was one, but when he realized their mistake, he caught it anyway. In That New Old Gang of Mine!, it evolved into an Exeggutor through a Leaf Stone that Yamper had found.

Heracross originally belonged to a Bug Pokémon collector named Koromi, who later traded it to Goh for his second Pinsir.

Main article: Goh's Raichu

Raichu was met at a valley populated by Pikachu. As a Pikachu, she quickly took a liking to Goh's group and was caught by him soon after. When Ash's Pikachu refused to use a Thunder Stone Goh's Pikachu gave him as a gift, she gave it to Goh instead. Later, she used the Thunder Stone to evolve into Raichu and free her Pikachu friends from one of Team Rocket's mechas.

Geodude was met outside the Rock Tunnel after Goh learned of a mass outbreak of them in the area. Ash's Farfetch'd smashed open a rock that Geodude was hiding in, allowing Goh to catch it.

Main article: Goh's Grookey

Grookey is a Pokémon that ended up escaping from the Rocket Prize Master when Pelipper accidentally dropped him in Vermilion City. Grookey found his way to the Cerise Laboratory, where he bonded with Goh until he was later retrieved by Team Rocket. Grookey ended up escaping Team Rocket's hideout as they slept and joined Goh's team after breaking his old Poké Ball.

Bellsprout is a Pokémon that Goh encountered in Vermilion City. He and Ash came across it when it was weak. After Grookey helped it to heal, Grookey encouraged Goh to catch it, which he happily agreed to.

Stantler was encountered during Goh's visit to Ecruteak City. It and a Misdreavus attacked Goh, Ash, Chad, and Jaye at the Bell Tower, trapping them in a series of illusions. After Jaye's Hoothoot dispelled the illusions with Foresight, Goh proceeded to catch Stantler.

Misdreavus was encountered during Goh's visit to Ecruteak City. It and a Stantler attacked Goh, Ash, Chad, and Jaye at the Bell Tower, trapping them in a series of illusions. After Jaye's Hoothoot dispelled the illusions with Foresight, Goh proceeded to catch Misdreavus.


In Panic in the Park!, during a food shortage, it and Sandile tried tricking the other Pokémon into giving up their food. When a group led by Scyther came looking for a fight, Misdreavus and Sandile immediately joined their side. It later helped protect the Cascoon from a flood created when Golurk went berserk, allowing them to evolve into Dustox and stop the flood.

Goh caught three Wurmple at the Hoenn Battle Frontier with Taillow's help. He caught multiples in hopes that he would get both a Silcoon and a Cascoon out of them. In Best Friend...Worst Nightmare!, all three evolved while defending themselves from Taillow. However, to Goh's dismay, they each evolved into a Cascoon.


In Panic in the Park!, the Cascoon were shown to be in the process of evolving again. Later, they were caught in a flood created when Golurk briefly lost control of itself. Ash, Goh, and the other Pokémon living in Cerise Park all kept the Cascoon safe long enough for them to evolve into Dustox and clear the rain.

They all know the move Sunny Day; two of the Dustox know String Shot.

Darmanitan was encountered during Goh's visit to the Desert Resort. It was one of the Pokémon guarding the Colossus Ruins, but was swiftly caught by Goh just as it sprung to life and attacked. It was later used in a Raid Battle against a giant Golurk.


Darmanitan's only known move is Overheat and its Ability is Zen Mode.

Sandile was encountered at the Colossus Ruins. It was angered when Scorbunny accidentally stepped on its tail, but was quickly defeated by a Double Kick, allowing Goh to catch it. It is currently kept at the Cerise Laboratory.


In Panic in the Park!, during a food shortage, it and Misdreavus tried tricking the other Pokémon into giving up their food. Cinderace is Goh's first Pokémon, which he first met as a wild Scorbunny in Wyndon. In Mind-Boggling Dynamax!, he followed him to the Wild Area, where he befriended and caught him. He evolved into Raboot in Kicking It from Here Into Tomorrow! and into Cinderace in Sword and Shield... The Legends Awaken!.

Greedent debuted as a Skwovet, when he was caught during Goh's second visit to Wyndon. He was lured in by some scones Ash was eating and took one for himself. While Skwovet was busy eating, Goh took the opportunity to catch him. In Crowning the Chow Crusher!, he evolved into Greedent during the Pokémon Eating Contest.

Bunnelby was caught during Goh's fourth trip to Galar. He encountered it when it snuck onto the train he and Ash were riding and took one of their scones. They chased it to the Slumbering Weald, where Goh successfully caught it.

Arctozolt was revived from Fossils dug up by Cara Liss and Gasattsu in the Wild Area. After being accidentally attacked by a Dracovish that had been revived at the same time, it started rampaging, but it calmed down when Dracovish later ran into it, knocking it over. Cara Liss and Gasattsu then allowed Goh to take Arctozolt with him.
