Little Heroes Yoga Pose of the week today is Criss Cross Yoga Sauce!
Also known as Criss-Cross Applesauce. We use criss-cross yoga sauce to start our practice, to sit in meditation and to keep our bodies still and calm. Its easy… just sit on your bottom and cross your legs in front of you. Sit up tall and breathe with a calm big inhale and a slow deep exhale.You can bring your hands to your heart or rest them on your legs. Use your tummy muscles to help you sit up super tall and take 3-5 big breaths together.
The sanskrit word for Criss Cross Apple Sauce is Sukhasana or Easy Seat Pose. Yoga started 1000’s of years ago sitting like this and connecting to the present moment of mind, body and breath. Take a moment to sit in criss cross yoga sauce today!
