Everything you need to know about Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival!

Do I need to reserve in advance?
Advanced tickets for specific time slots are available for purchase on our website. There is no time limit when visiting during festival hours. It is recommended, but tickets will also be available to purchase on site at Kortright. Pre-purchased tickets are required at Bruce’s Mill. Tickets are not available to purchase on site at Bruce’s Mill.

Can I reschedule my visit?
The event takes place mainly outdoors and will run rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable. If you have questions regarding your ticket order, please email vservices@trca.ca

What is included in the admission fee at Bruce’s Mill?
Authentic Early European Settler, Indigenous and modern evaporator maple syrup demonstrations are included, as well as special activities for families added to the fun. Your admission fee includes use of the park facilities, hiking trails and maple syrup demonstrations. All activities are ongoing throughout festival hours. There is no time limit when visiting during festival hours. Meals, gift shop products, Treetop Trekking and parking are NOT included.

What is included in the admission fee at the Kortright Centre?
Authentic Early European Settler and modern sugar shack maple syrup demonstrations are included, as well as special activities for families added to the fun. Your admission fee includes use of the park facilities, hiking trails and maple syrup demonstrations. Activities vary from day to day, please check out our schedule of events here. There is no time limit when visiting during festival hours. Meals, gift shop products and parking are not included.

How should I dress?
Dress for the weather. Wear proper footwear for muddy conditions. Hats, mitts and warm coats are recommended on cold days. Snow pants are a good idea for small kids.

Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed in all parks but must be kept on a leash. Dogs are NOT permitted in the visitor centres.

Is the festival good for toddlers?
This is a family event with activities for all ages. Both sites are stroller accessible with paved or gravel paths.

What language is spoken at the demonstration sites?
English is spoken at demonstration sites.

Do you offer maple syrup products for sale?
Yes. Gift shops have a great variety of maple products and maple syrup.

Do you offer pancake/breakfast meals?
Yes. We offer a variety of maple syrup pancake/breakfast meals at both locations at an additional cost.
*Please note we cannot guarantee nut free meals.

Will the horse and wagon be a part of the event this year?
Yes! We are excited to welcome back the horse and wagon ride. Thanks to generous sponsorship from 407 ETR, these rides are free.

Do I need to pay a deposit for group tour reservations?
Yes. Guided tours are offered at Kortright and require a 50% deposit in advance.

What is the cancellation policy for group tour reservations?
If the group cannot attend on its scheduled date/time, every effort will be made to re-schedule the trip. If that is not possible, notice of a cancellation must be received by phone and in writing no less than 15 business days prior to the scheduled visit. Cancellations with less than 15 business days notice will forfeit their deposit. Same-day cancellations (or no-shows) will be billed for the entire cost of the trip.
