  • TPersons whose bona fide residence and principal place of business is more than sixty (60) miles distant from the City of Eureka, Humboldt County, California, maybe elected to Non-resident Membership. This section shall not apply to persons who were Non-resident Members at the date of enactment of these Bylaws. INACTIVE MEMBERS Any Regular Member who has been a member in good standing for a period of ten (10) years or more shall be eligible for consideration as an “Inactive Member.” An Inactive Member is defined as one who, in the complete discretion of the Board of Directors, has a chronic health problem due to illness or injury which prevents that member from using the member’s Club privileges. An Inactive Member shall not be subject to any minimum charges or monthly dues but shall be considered a member of the INGOMAR CLUB. Inactive Membership will be in effect for six months. After that time, the member shall return to Regular Membership status and shall be subject to minimum charges and monthly dues and assessments. If the Inactive Member is unable to return to Regular Membership status after six months period, a written request for an additional extension must be presented to the Board of Directors prior to the conclusion of the initial six month period. Board approvals for additional extensions of time will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    While on the Inactive Member status, a member shall have the right to visit the Club House and enjoy the privileges of membership for which that member shall pay the normal charges. However, the Board of Directors shall consider an Inactive Member’s ability to visit the Club House as one factor in determining whether or not to return the Inactive Member to Regular Membership status.

    The requirement that a member be a member of the Club in good standing for a period of ten (10) years before the member qualifies for Inactive Member status may be waived by a vote of the Board of Directors.
