Mute and unmute a conversation

Muting a conversation will stop all email notifications of new messages for that thread. However, you'll still be able to see new messages added to the thread, along with old messages, by clicking into the conversation from LinkedIn messaging.

To mute a conversation:

  1. Click the Messagingicon at the top of your homepage.

  2. Select the message from the list on the left pane.

    Note: Once you select a message, the entire conversation thread of that message is shown on the right.

  3. Click the Moreicon on top of the conversation thread and selectMute conversation.

  4. Once a conversation is muted, you'll see aMuted icon next to the contact's/conversation's name in the message list on the left pane.

To unmute a conversation:

  1. Select the Muted conversation from the messaging list.

    Note: Once you select a message, the entire conversation thread of that message is shown on the right.

  2. Click theUnmute button near the upper right of the conversation.
