After examining Google Trends data, StyleCraze found that New Yorkers search terms like 'skincare', 'makeup' and 'hair care' significantly more than residents in other states.
The study also found that Alaska, Montana and Vermont are least interested in the topic.

In addition to searching 'skincare' and 'haircare' more than anyone else, New Yorkers search 'makeup' the most. Tying for second place are Nevada and Kentucky, followed by Texas.
A spokesperson for StyleCraze commented on the finding, saying 'Renowned as one of the most glamorous destinations worldwide, it is easy to see why New York takes the crown as the most beauty-obsessed state in the country, especially as the state is surrounded with an increasing influencer culture.'
