OTR – Off The Record

The first of it’s kind, OTR has quickly made a mark on the nightlife scene in Jordan, offering a 1920’s vibe, this speakeasy has a dress code and is serving up fresh, handcrafted co*cktails. The bar is relatively small and fills up quick, so it is often recommended to reserve in advance. OTR is an ambient, jazzy lounge atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

Founded In 2010, Carakale is a microbrewery found about 20 km north of Amman in the town of Fuhays. All the beer is handcrafted and made from both imported and local ingredients, making it a special and unique experience for drinking beer in Jordan. You can enjoy a tour of a microbrewery or just enjoy the fresh beer selection. As they are only open during the afternoon hours this is an excellent place to start your night out.

The event is run by the non-profit organization World Associates which aims to create opportunities for local people in Jordan. Souk by the Sea is a fun-filled evening where locals and tourists can come together and watch the sun go down.

Cave Bar, Wadi Musa

For a unique dining experience, the Cave Bar in the town of Wadi Musa is located in a cave that is next to a 2000-year-old tomb. It is a wonderful place to visit after a day exploring the archaeological site of Petra. It is located behind the Petra Visitor Centre and serves a range of co*cktails and popular western dishes.
