6 things to know about the future of the American dietOver the last day or so, the world's aunts and uncles have been sharing the below image across social media, bemoaning the message that it carried: Coca-Cola had bought Dr. Pepper (64 grams of sugar per 20 ounces) and was discontinuing the beverage.
Setting aside for the moment the terrible quality of the image, unprofessional fonts, grammatical errors, and lack of any official citation of the news, you can understand the concern of fans of Dr. Pepper (250 calories per 20 ounces).
But, happily, for those who love all 23 of those sweet, Dr. Pepper flavors (and 66 grams of total carbs per 20 ounces), the news is not true, as confirmed both by Internet debunking website Snopes and by the producers of Dr. Pepper itself.
