Nyx, also known as Mother Night, is the Greek Primordial Goddess of the Night and Magic and personification of the Night, who was held in great esteem among the ancients, so much that even Zeus himself stood in awe of her. Her counterpart is the Roman Goddess Nox.
She is the youngest daughter of Chaos and Caligo, and is the youngest sister of Chronos, Gaia, Ouranos, Ananke, Aion, Phanes, Tartarus, Eurynome, Ophion, Eros, Pontus, Physis, Erebus, and She is the aunt of Hydros, Thesis, Ourea and Nesoi.
She is one of the creators of Aether, Hemera, Thanatos, Hypnos, Oneiroi, Moros, Atropos, Lachesis, Clotho, Nemesis, Momus, Oizys, Charon, Alecto and many others with or without Erebus, and Achlys with her mother, Chaos herself.
Her appearances are sparse in surviving mythology, but reveal her as a figure of such exceptional power and beauty that she is feared by Zeus himself. Nox, though she is truly an avatar of the Roman goddess to deal with the Greek Empire.
Throughout her life, Nyx became the guardian of numerous gods, including Hades, Styx, Pandora, Hecate, Eris, Zagreus. She is the Best Friend and Rival of Amatsu-Mikaboshi and Amenominakanushi. She's also the main arch-enemy of Amara and Nox's arch-nemesis.
She was a member of Spriggan that previously was apart of the the now defunct Alliance of Hell who betrayed the Greek Pantheon after Ahriman took over, and now is an ally of Team DxD.
Nyx is currently enrolled in Kuoh Academy as a Third-year student and is a member of Issei's class 3-B. Nyx is also apart of Issei's harem after he saved her from being imprisoned in the depths of Hell.

Overview
Nyx is the primordial Greek goddess (and personification) of the night, her name means "the mother night." A shadowy figure, Nyx stood at or near the beginning of creation and mothered other personified deities such as Hypnos and Thanatos, with her brother Erebus, her mother Chaos and even Zeus himself once.
Nyx spends majority of her time sleeping. She get's woken up by powerful clashes that take place between God and Buddhas. Because God is the source of most, she despises her because she affects her ability to sleep. Nyx lives in a secret pit of darkness that no one knows about.
Nyx was finally found and was confronted by Zeus when Artemis had became a threat far too powerful for anyone to handle but the Primordials. Nyx has denied his request, and once again went back to sleep.
She is the Greek counterpart to the Roman deity Nox. Versions of her birth and origins vary, but one interpretation has her as a creator goddess, laying a silver egg that produces the gods responsible for the creation of the world.
Appearance
In a Past, She is depicted as a goddess draped in long flowing black robes that are coated with the void of space and glimmering distant stars. Her appearances in mythology are sparse, but reveal her as a figure of exceptional power. In ancient art Nyx was depicted as a either a winged goddess or charioteer, sometimes crowned with an aureole of dark mists.
Nyx is a beautiful young woman with the cute face of a child that has long black hair and with pointy ears. She has dark blue eyes, an average height, a well-endowed figure and large breasts. She wears a cute frilly dress called the Godly Virgin Killer Clothes that has a corset jumper skirt.
Her body also gives out a tremendous dark aura. After Her notable accessories are twin butterfly-shaped ribbons which are on both sides of her head. She is noted to be the more fashionable girl among the childrens, as she has various cute accessories and takes care of her nails. Her ears have yet to be pierced, but she plans to have them at least before marriage
In her true form, Nyx was described as a churning figure of ash and smoke, as big as the (which was 40 feet tall). Her face was hard to see except for the pinpoints of her eyes, which shone like quasars. When her wings beat, waves of darkness rolled over the cliffs. Her dress was void black, mixed with the colors of a space nebula as if galaxies were being born in her bodice.
After transferring to Kuoh Academy, she wears the Kuoh Academy girls' uniform, albeit with a red ribbon vest over her corset jumper skirt in place of the cape and corset which has become her current main attire.
Personality
Before the disappearance of Chaos, Nyx was like any other young goddess; cheerful and upbeat who loves her family, especially her older sister Eurynome despite not seeing each other so often. She is a cheerful, yet sad*stic person who enjoys seeing her enemies in pain and suffering. She also hates being alone. Even during the War of Creation, Nyx was still the same person though she became far more ruthless in nature.
Despite the cold and rude front, Nyx is caring and protective, like when she is touched by Hyoudou Issei's past; remarking that it is also evident by her willingness to act as the her creations and wards, ignoring her care towards her own appearance. She is not above praising others such as Rias being worthy of being Issei’s King because she figured that Nyx was waiting for Issei to attack her.
She is a very headstrong and straightforward person who tends to be quite blunt. She is strong willed and motivates herself to escape the ties of her past. Nyx's bonds lie within her classmates whom she normally takes the leadership role with. She's very tough on them in training, very impatient and often hot-tempered. She only wishes to see them get stronger as they fight beside her and has taught many of her peers how to properly wield a variety of weapons, even if they had to get beaten up by her a lot to reach that point.
With Issei, Nyx was initially annoyed with his pervert attitude and felt that she had no business being at Kuoh Academy as a Student. However, after fighting beside him and learning to understand one another, Nyx discovered they weren't so different. In fact, Issei was the first person to truly make her feel accepted. In this instance, Issei's tough exterior tried to repress her emotions with frustration but she couldn't help but feel moved in a very rare show of emotion.
When Chaos was sealed in the Nihilo Mask along with Azathoth, Nyx was one of the Primordials that pretended to serve God after the war but in truth was busy serving under Chronos to free her mother from the prison. Due to the hardship she had been put through from the loneliness. Nyx became far more mature and wiser, raising her children with Erebus while watching Gaia and Ouranos had their own children. Though she is proud of her children and is very protective over them, Nyx can be uncomfortable when someone asks her who is her favorite child.
Even after Chaos was freed, Nyx hid her cheerful and upbeat personality she had before under far more sad*stic and brutal with a loyal respect to the Olympian Hades, shown she served him in the Alliance of Hell. Because of this mature personality, when Chaos disappeared from Creation, she didn't freak out like her brother and husband Erebus did though she did become worried with her mother's whereabouts.
Nyx gives her children many gifts and once she has given a fledgling or vampyre an affinity, she never takes it back. Those who are given such abilities often excel in society, becoming High Priestesses or Warriors. Nyx's greatest gift for her children is free will, as she often says herself. She enjoys the pleasures of it, but mainly does it for the sleepy feeling she gets.
Nyx speaks with a very powerful tone. Her voice is very overpowering to hear even to gods. Due to her lack of social interaction, she speaks different than most. She has a habit of dragging out her words. Nyx does not like evil beings as they are the ones that wake her up most of the time. As such she despises God more than most.
Nyx on rare occasions does not spend her time sleeping. Nyx is a very lazy goddess, often not wanting to help with anything even if she is fully awake. She is also the main inspiration behind the Moon Deity figure featured in numerous polytheistic religions throughout the world, serving as the template for their creation, with the most notable ones being Artemis, Selene, Thoth, Chandra, Tsukuyomi, etc.
As the Primordial Deity worshipped by the Second-Generation Primordial, she holds a softspot for them, both because of their devotion toward her, as well as the fact she was their creator. Unlike regular gods, who only bless their mortal devotees if their faith toward them and their offerings are great enough to satisfy them, she will try her best to take care of her worshippers, even though she had been greatly weakened due to her banishment from Heaven and God's hibernation.
According to Artemis, she acted more of a mother/grandmother doting on her grandchildren than a goddess interacting with her worshippers. Whenever she becomes angry, the world around her will become greatly twisted to fit her moods: the sky will become darkened, the sun and the moon and the stars will all disappear, devastating cases of natural disasters will randomly appear across the world, etc. According to Thanatos, she was one of the Protogenos who was involved in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
After receiving her special garment, Nyx became arrogant enough to believe she is untouchable by those who are virgins. Her rebellious attitude makes her the least cooperative girl among the friends, making her archetype resemble that of a "Tsundere". Her interests seem to lie more on romance than anything else. An example is when she wanted to watch a romance movie, whilst Rias preferred a science documentary instead. With this is mind, she likes to openly state her feelings for Issei, regardless of whether it's in front of him.
Of course, the most noticeable of Nyx's dispositional characteristics is her denial of her shortness. Even in moments of relative composure, any and all references to her stature cause her to violently lose control of his emotions and lash out both verbally and physically. One of the most common reasons for these outbursts is if anything related to her size, since she has a complex about being shorter than average (her height is 156 cm). Distinctive to these outbursts is Nyx's tendency to take even the most casual mention of her height as a gross insult and interpret it exaggeratedly, mistaking words as simple as "small" for phrases as contrived as and the like.
She likes to climb to high places. Nyx likes everything bears and rabbits-themed, and becomes quite sensitive when someone insults her obsession with them. People often have difficulty understanding her drawings, which are typically bears and rabbit-like, and doesn't like it when people complain about their quality. Nyx's favorite foods are Strawberry milks, Egg tarts, and Cheesecake.
History
Creation
Nyx was born directly from Chaos. She had originally lived with her mother along with the majority of the Primordial Entities, during the time before Creation. Due to Chaos being protective of her youngest, she kept Nyx and Erebus hidden from the Creation War.
After the war, when something akin to peace had been established, she lived in Tartarus, in the Mansion of Night, where she stays during the day and leaves during the night.
During the time when she lived with her mother, she had mated with her older brother Erebus, creating the primordial gods Aether and Hemera in that order. During the time of Ouranos' rule, Nyx, her daughter Hemera (whom she had fights with), her son Aether, and the stars were the only constant company of the deity. Nyx and Erebus mated once again, this time creating far more deities like Thanatos, Hypnos, Moros and many others.
Meeting with Amenominakanushi
Nyx would at one point bump into Amenominakanushi. The two began a fight over a silly reason. Nyx emerged victorious though was by the fight, prompting her to go to sleep for two centuries.
Family Feud
During the Titans' rule, Nyx and her daughter Hemera (who were currently living together in Tartarus along with Thanatos and Hypnos) had a big fight with them, not wishing to be near the other. This caused one to leave Tartarus, while the other was returning and vice versa, creating the night and day cycle. After some time, both of them calmed down and were able to get closer and when the goddess Eos came along, they were able to get mend their relationship. After that when Hemera arrived, Eos would leave, followed by Nyx.
Hypnos
When Nyx's son Hypnos reminded Hera of an old favor after she asks him to put Zeus to sleep. He had once before put Zeus to sleep at the bidding of Hera, allowing her to shower Hercules, who was returning by sea from Laomedon's Troy, great misfortune without Zeus interfering. When Zeus heard of Hypnos' involvement of that event, he became furious and chased him into the seas beyond even the control of Leviathan, the Primordial Beast of the Sea.
He would have smitten Hypnos into the sea if he had not quickly fled to Nyx in fear, who Zeus respected enough and feared even more to hold his anger at bay. In fact, the king of the gods was fearful to the point where he held his fury at bay and in this way Hypnos escaped the wrath of Zeus by appealing to his powerful mother. He disturbed Zeus only a few times after that always fearing Zeus and running back to his mother, Nyx, who would have confronted Zeus with a maternal fury.
Powers and Abilities
As one of the Protogenoi, Nyx is an extremely powerful deity feared by Humans, Demons and Gods alike. Zeus himself feared her enough to retract all threats against her son Hypnos and regretted even touching Nemesis.
Natural Abilities
Immenasurable Divine Power: Nyx possesses a tremendous amount of Divine Aura. When Nyx noted that the Power of Chaos in its half-awakened state can be fully activated when temporarily fusing with someone with at least twice as much divine power as an average primordial-level God and Buddhas, She calmly proved able to do so herself. She claims she is more powerful than all of the Greek Protogenos (except Chaos). Chronos estimated her sealed power to be close to or at the same level as Chaos. After defeating Amenominakanushi and releasing herself from her self-imposed limits, she becomes powerful enough to fight on par with and defeat the likes of Nyarlathotep without taking off her racelets. Similar to Issei, when unleashing a strong enough surge of energy, it becomes visible and blue in color, sometimes with the appearance of a fairy.
Primordial Entity Physiology: Nyx can draw power and abilities connected to the protogenoi, primordial Deities of Greek mythology. The protogenoi were the first entities or beings that come into existence, they form the very fabric of the universe and as such are truly immortal. Everything in existence is born of them, including the Titans and the Olympian gods. Unlike the Titans, when overthrown by the next generation of deities, the protogenoi didn't lose their power or position, for the very simple reason that they form the existence.
- Nigh-Omnipotence: While not as great as Chaos, she does have the abilities destruction, infinity, endless power and others. She was described as both omnipotent and unbeatable by those aware of her existence.
- Reality Warping: Nyx is able to control and bend reality to her whims, capable of altering something as tangible as physics and the universe to something inconceivable like logic. Because of this immense ability, many younger gods are often led to believing her to possess complete omnipotence power.
- Divine Aura: Nyx can release and surround themselves in/with energy/matter for defensive and/or offensive purposes, possibly becoming almost untouchable and granting them various abilities/attacks depending of the energy/matter. divine auras may also give the user enhanced physical capabilities such as speed, strength and durability.
- Seer: Nyx is a seer (also called clairvoyant, prophet, oracle, or diviner), an individual who can see things hidden from others and also has the ability to predict the future or speak for the gods. A seer usually acts as a guide, whether it be for good or evil depends on the user in question. Seers also have special knowledge of the divine or supernatural realms and some receive special wisdom, power or understanding from deities or spirits. Seers are individuals closest to what one would call the "absolute truth" of the world. The abilities of each seer will vary as well as the cost, if there is any, for their gift.
- Precognition: She have the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action.
- Uniqueness: Nyx has abilities/powers/traits so unique that they cannot be matched, absorbed, replicated or copied by others, granting them immunity to powers such as Power Absorption, Power Replication and Ability Learning. Nyx also has instinctive knowledge and ability in how to expertly utilize their unique abilities/powers/traits.
- Primordial Particle Manipulation: She can manipulate primordial particles, which are the building blocks of existence. This power has two classifications, one being the single potentiality of all things, and the second "merely" being the basic unit of primordial energy and matter. She can manipulate the Primordial Particle, which is the initial state of all things. Even concepts such as magic, cosmic and primordial power, time, dreams, emotions. It all falls under one big category that is the primordial particle.
Immense Strength: As a Primordial Goddess of Greek, Nyx is a very powerful entity. She is placed at the ranks of the Top 50 Strongest Beings in the Draconic Deus. Nyx is powerful enough to take out the titan Atlas along with thousand monsters without trouble. Due to being its personification, Nyx has full of the concept of the night which she also rules. For example, she was able to plunge her island in the Aegean Sea in an endless night and is able to cover herself with a black aura. While weaken heavily due to being tricked by Nyarlathotep to lose most of her power, she had to wear the Godly Virgin Killer Clothes to boost her power at the course of being fragile towards virgins. When it was broken, she was overpowered with a combination of Infinity Blaster and Welsh Blaze. Even know, her power is slowing returning an she still possess enough power to easily destroy the Rossweisse's barrier on Agreas, a floating Island in Hell. Azathoth summarizes her existence as 'Chaos 2.0. in development'. As the succesor of the Void, Nyx is the direct rival to Hyoudou Issei and Trihexa. Like them, she also has the potential to reach or even surpass her omnipotent teacher.
Darkness Manipulation: As the Primordial Goddess of the Night, Nyx has divine authority and absolute control over shadows and darkness though not as the degree of her brother, Erebus. She can take form of a spinning dark aura and is capable of cover the whole area with the darkness of the night and destroying magic barriers. She can also unleashed black wave of darkness out of her hand and black bullets.
- Spider Thread: She is able to transform the darkness into thin razor-shaped strings which take a shape similar to that of a spider's web. It can be used as a net to capture the target.
- Early Blooming Spider Lily: She is able to change the darkness to a tendril-like form, wrapping around the target and lifting him up high in the air. Once at an appropriate height and distance, darkness explodes into several finely-developed flower spikes.
- Devoured Space: She is able to manipulate darkness to shield herself, thus, no bullets or anything may reach her. But, it needs time to be activated.
- Blackout Crush: Nyx creates an entire dimension made of pure darkness and traps the target inside. She then closes her palm, and the dimension shrinks to something like the Dimensional Gap and crushes whatever was inside.
- Endless Jaws: Another variation of Darkness Technique. Several Darkness Manipulation are materialized by Nyx to deal with a devastating attack.
- Ocean of Darkness: Nyx crosses her arms and forms an ocean around the user. This ocean washes away their immortality and life force.
- Black Whip: Nyx is able to transform the darkness allowed her to create tendrils of black energy from her arms. These tendrils were excellent for grappling and increasing her mobility. By the time Nyx acquires this powers, Blackwhip has evolved within the core of Power of the Primordial Chaos, drastically increasing its potential power and scope.
- Dark Energy Constructs: Nyx can turn solidified dark energy into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Nyx who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.
- Shadow Constructs: Nyx could shape and solidify darkness to create various forms of constructs, from weaponry to equipment to even semi-living beasts. In Mount Olympus, she created multiple machine guns around Erebus and shot millions upon millions of shadow bullets toward him.
- Shadow Weaponry: Nyx could create a seemingly endless amount of weaponry from solidified darkness. These weapons possess the unique power of absorbing all the umbra-kinetic attacks they touch and could absorb parts of the darkness around their surrounding, making them a little brighter than usual. She can created multiple machine guns around his opponent and shot millions upon millions of shadow bullets toward them.
- Darkness Shields: She can solidify shadows into virtually impenetrable shields, which are strong enough to deflect even Zeus' thunderbolts.
- Marionette: Nyx could control the body of others by controlling their shadow. While under her control, the 'puppet' still retains their consciousness and could see the events happening around them in a third-person view. She could control multiple 'puppets' at the same time, and only lose control of them if she lost the sight of their shadow.
- Darkness Infusion: Nyx can infuse objects (usually a weapon), beings or powers with darkness/shadow, empowering and energizing them and allowing the Nyx to manipulate their qualities and efficiency, allowing them to blind their targets or hide in shadows.
- Shadow Mutilation: Nyx could can inflict damage to the opponent through their shadow, which may kill the target and potentially destroy the body in the process.
- Umbrakinetic Combat: Nyx can fuse manipulation of darkness with physical combat to create a devastating form of martial arts. She can use both direct and indirect attacks, utilizing every patch of darkness or shadow available or create tools and weapons as needed.
- Darkness Mimicry: She is made up of or can transform their body completely into darkness/shadows. She transformed form is anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of darkness/shadows, in which case, it contains all organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately, Nyx can transform into hom*ogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other.
- Formlessness: She possesses no permanent form and is ever changing and ever shifting. She can change into anything, scatter and reform at will. She can also shift out of the way of attacks.
- Absolute Darkness: She is able to create a field of absolute impenetrable darkness that completely negates sight and may also dull or even completely negate the other senses. They are potentially able to generate darkness so intense it can completely obliterate objects in its path.
- Darkness Adaptation: She is able to survive and adapt to dark environments (especially nighttime conditions), with a circadian cycle programmed for nighttime activity, heightened senses to compensate the absence of light, and perhaps darker coloration.
- Animated Shadow: She can transform their or other's shadows into living beings. As the rule of anything happening to the real body happens to the shadow, this ability may allow the user to manipulate the shadow and cause damage in reality by using it to attack. This means anything that happens to the shadow will be reflected in the true body; in short, a form of "reverse" shadow puppetry.
- Darkness Defense: She possesses defensive skills that are enhanced by dark-based powers, allowing them to block, parry, dodge, etc. with the power of the darkness.
- Darkness Transformation: She can transform the bodies of others into solid darkness. Target may become a hybrid between their normal state and darkness or become an entity of living darkness in a pure elemental form.
- Pure Darkness Manipulation: She can create, shape and manipulate darkness of beneficial nature; that which strengthens, enhances and causes anything/everything it comes across to flourish, representing the sustaining and preserving side of darkness, which in turn ignores most of the common limitations and weaknesses of its normal elemental variety. In essence, this is about solely controlling the positive powers of darkness.
- Grim Darkness Manipulation: She can create, shape and manipulate darkness/shadows/blackness of a darker, detrimental nature; that which damages, destroys, and consumes anything/everything they come across, representing the hazardous destructive side of darkness/shadow, which in turn ignores most of the limitations and weaknesses of the normal darkness/shadow. In essence, this is about solely controlling the negative powers of darkness/shadow.
Night Embodiment: Nyx is embodies night, the concept of the period of darkness between sunset and sunrise.
- Night Manipulation: Nyx is able to manipulate the nighttime, including how long a night lasts, cause nighttime regardless of if the sun is not shining on that areas of the world or not. She have limited control over the moon and stars, darkness and the optical phenomena associated with the nighttime.
- Shadow Travel: Also known as Umbraportation, Nyx could use shadow and darkness to travel, melting herself into the darkness and reappears anywhere else from the same element. She could also forcefully transport others away using the same methods.
- Darkness Generation: She can generate and shoot solid bolts of pure darkness, and surround enemies into pitch black clouds of lightless space.
- Dark Rain: Nyx snaps her fingers, and dark rains rains down from a dimension portal. Whatever comes in contact with the rain get's incinerated instantly.
- Night: Nyx turns reality completely dark to where only she can see what's going on. Nyx becomes omnipresent with the entire darkness.
- Umbrakinetic Vitakinesis: Nyx is able to heal injuries sustained by herself and others using darkness.
- Shadow Camouflage: Nyx can use shadows to cover herself in darkness to become invisible.
- Darkness Absorption and Dissipation: She can absorb and dissipate shadows with no restriction.
- Night Empowerment: Nyx become stronger, faster, more durable, etc. during the night, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers. Nyx uses may be able draw sustenance from the night or even slow or stop aging.
- Night Inducement: Nyx is able to induce night/nighttime in an area, regardless of which side of the Earth is facing the sun.
- Overshadow: Nyx becomes the opponent's shadow and travels with them wherever they go. She can attack them while being intangible on a beyond conceptual level.
- Eternal Night Inducement: Nyx is able to prevent the sun from rising, effectively creating a permanent night.
Animal Manipulation: Nyx can control animals behavior, they can set stampedes onto attackers, get animals to fetch things. The user can call forth hoards of rats or insects to wipe out a crop, or to encourage bees to replant it.
- Animal Empowerment: Nyx becomes stronger, faster, more durable, etc. when they come into contact with animals/beasts, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers. Some users may be able to draw sustenance from being around the animals/beasts or even slow or stop aging.
Lunar Manipulation: Nyx can create, shape and manipulate all aspects of a moon/moons, including its gravity and the effects it has on the planet, reflective surface, time-keeping, etc. and use its lunar energy. Given that it is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun, Moons prominence in the sky and its regular cycle of phases have, since ancient times, made the Moon an important cultural influence on language, calendars, art and mythology. The Moon's gravitational influence produces the ocean tides and the minute lengthening of the day.
- Lunar Constructs: Nyx can turn lunar energy into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Nyx who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.
Astral Manipulation: Nyx can create, shape and manipulate astral energy, allowing them to project their astral form on physical plane and to the astral plane and interact there, see spirits, making spirits visible to others, astral trapping and potentially harming the dead. She can allow others to be able to use temporarily astral projection or block others from astral projecting, sending them back to their bodies if they had already projected.
Primordial Sky Manipulation: Nyx can create, shape and manipulate the skies of an ancient primordial nature. As opposed to regular Sky Manipulation, users of this power are deities, avatars, or living embodiment of the sky itself. As such, they can cause natural sky-related phenomena to manifest, such as creating auroras, calling upon lightning, make it rain, etc.
Femininity Aspect Manifestation: Nyx use embodies the conceptual attributes, traits and behaviors of femininity/womanhood and gains power from aspects they represent each reflecting the ideal status of being by their physicality, mentality, spirituality and so on. Standards traits of femininity are traditionally viewed differently throughout cultures and historical periods, but commonly include gentleness, empathy, sensitivity and even their biological sex that users emphasizes their powers and is often associated with their rewards, consequences and responsibility.
Partenogenesis: As shown in the Book of the Primordial Ones, Nyx had managed to become created with several divine creations all by herself.
Control of Nocturnal Animals: Nyx is able to control nocturnal animals, such as owls and bats.
ZONE: Nyx can utilize 100% of their concentration, allowing them to push their physical and/or mental capabilities to their maximum potential, allowing the mind to perceive and respond without any distraction, obstacles become minor problems while objectives grow significantly easier to accomplish. Since concentration is the learning cornerstone, Nyx's mind also becomes quicker to assimilate thoughts and information, She being now able to process information at Immensurable speed. The information becomes instantly recorded on her memory, freeing the mind from its boundaries and making the stored knowledge accessible even when the her is with her power.
Master Magician: Due to being a goddess of magic, Nyx has perfectly mastered many types of magic though she mainly uses the Olympus Magic. Nyx can create barrier to cover the whole island and create countless number of transportation magic circle summoning two thousand clones to fight against her opponents.
- Titan Magick: Nyx is one of the few to know how to wield Titan Magick, the ancient and lost Magic System used by the Titan pagan gods with immense destructive capability. Surrounding her palace in Realm of the Dead is thousands upon thousands of layers of wards created using this type of magic.
- Elemental Magic: She notably excels in the use of ice, fire, water, lightning, wind, thunder, light and explosive-based magic.
- Space-Time Magic: Nyx has shown to be skilled in using space-time magic, able to even produce the time-stopping power of the Primordial God, Chronos albeit not to the same level.
- Shadow Magic: She is able to perform a legendary form of magic that allows the user to cast magical spells and feats derived from shadows and darkness.
- Sealing Magic: Nyx can use sealing magic which she learned by researching information about Trihexa. She could use her Barrier magic to seal the movements of mass-produced Shadow's Clones.
- Illusion Magic: Nyx is skilled in illusion magic. she is able to combine illusions with her protective magic to create a fake illusion world based on the hidden thoughts and wishes of the target. It is recorded to be very powerful by Nyx when it fell over thousands of strong warriors with seduction.
- Healing Magic: She can also use magic to treat her and others' injuries though she rarely uses it.
- Hypnosis Magic: Nyx can use magic to control her wards if they become unruly by putting them in a state of hypnosis.
- Teleportation Magic: Nyx create countless number of transportation magic circle summoning two thousand clones to fight against her opponents.
- Moonlight Magic: Nyx uses this form of magic to manipulate moonlight. It is a powerful Magic based around astronomical objects, such as meteors, stars and black holes. Nyx generates and manipulates the energy of stars from her body and uses it against her enemy. Nyx has shown tremendous mastery over this particular form of Magic such as creating a pole made of energy to block Ares' sword.
- Enchant: Nyx covers and opponents attacks in darkness, and she now has control over it and it becomes hers. It also becomes stronger under her control.
- Antithesis: Nyx can designate any two targets and completely reverse anything that has already occurred between the two of them. For example, if Nyx were to be greatly injured while fighting an opponent, she could reverse what occurred between himself and she enemy, simultaneously healing himself while grievously wounding she opponent.
Portal Massacre: Nyx forms four portals around the target. From right, left, above, and below. A strong gravitation force pulls everything in front of the portals. The target get's completely disfigured by the strong force.
Power of the Grim Reaper: The Power of the Grim Reaper allows Nyx to have the power of a grim reaper and the ability to create and control Grim Reapers.
Godly Constructs: Nyx can created a countless amount of piercing weapons such as swords and spears from her divine energy, and launched all of them from all directions at Typhon. The total destructive powers of this attack were estimated to be enough to destroy the entire countries off the map.
- Power Bestowal: Nyx could grant various powers to individuals in the forms of blessings, as long as these powers related to her domains.
Deification: Nyx could turn mortals into minor pagan deities, with their domains being parts of those within her jurisdiction.
Ghost Summoning: She could summon forth any ghost and spirit within the Realm of Hades to her side and do.
Dark Infernal Pyrokinesis: Nyx has absolute control over black hellfire, which is considerably more destructive than normal flames, as it turns whatever it touches into liquid. She can conjure it, and propel it from her hands.
Immense Durability: She is very resistant to all types of damage, as shown when she took a full blow from full power Dragon Shot without being even taking any damage. She was also able to take Issei's attack that has been boosted several times with only a slight burn to his hand and Rossweisse's Norse Magic without even flinching.
Immense Speed: Nyx is incredibly fast, as she could casually block a sneak attack from Xenovia's Ex-Durandal. She could also keep up with a full-powered Issei in his Balance Breaker while toying with him.
Master Cooking: Nyx is shown to be a good cook, ranging from daily meals to cookies to cake. According to Nyx, her children and wards have their individual preferences, which makes it harder for her to cook for them.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Nyx is extremely well versed in unarmed combat. She is able to fight against multiple opponents on the level of God and Satan Class at the same time. Nyx is also a highly capable close-range and bare-handed fighter. When a street gang came to Kuoh High School Student to cause trouble, Nyx calmly approached them, and showed her skill by easily subduing them (albeit with some assistance from Issei). Like her weapon style, Nyx's bare-handed style is more about precise strikes than brute force. She was able to preform moderately well against Amenominakanushi in one on one combat however, her skills were still far inferior. She can also easily defeat both Vali Lucifer and Hyoudou Issei in their strongest forms without the need to use her Goddess Form.
Expert Swordswoman: She possesses immense swordsmanship skills, capable of wielding Nýchta to its utmost potential. She is a very technical fighter and all of her strikes are done beautifully with an incredible amount of smoothness going from one strike to another; her style of fighting flows incredibly well for her. During her fight with Amenominakanushi, Nyx uses Nýchta as a sword expertly, and easily loses to him with it. Even though it is really an arrow, and her main prowess lies in combat and sword techniques, it is clear that Nyx has some ability with the sword. She also uses her Nýchta against Azathoth, and successfully holds her ground for a short time.
Master Technician: Nyx is a very talented Technique-type fighter, relying heavily on her, rather choreographic, fighting skills and techniques. According to Xenovia Quarta, the most fearsome and important thing to remember when engaging in combat with her was her nearly-perfect fighting techniques, which were a result of the primordials' unimaginable training.
Genius-Level Intellect: Nyx is a very intelligent person, one of the smartest goddesses in the world. She is well versed in several forms of lost magic such as her own Moonlight Magic. Nyx can also form extremely complicated strategies that are extremely hard to counter as well as back-up plans should a weakness. During her forced stay in the Mount Olympus after losing her powers, Nyx proved herself very useful in assisting Issei with his new Primordial Entities duties. Nyx is very knowledgeable, with a detailed knowledge of Greek Pantheon's history.
- Master Tactician: Nyx's true strength is her unparalleled skill in strategy making, which allows her to command her subordinates to great effect. Nyx has proven that she is an excellent strategist twice, the first during the fight against Amatsu-Mikaboshi during the ancient times and the second during the fight against the ORC.
- Adaptation: Nyx could easily adapt to the conditions and environments around her, allowing her to virtually fight in any possible situations.
- Master Strategist: Nyx has shown herself to be highly intellectual as she was able to memorize all the abilities of the participants of gods, along with their fighting styles and patterns, and then run countless battle scenarios to come up with the most appropriate strategy for her groups, the incredible accuracy of which making it seem as if she was predicting the future, thus earning the alias - The Goddess Tactician.
Circadian Manipulation: Nyx is capable of controlling the movement and rotation of planets, which enables her to change the flow of night and day.
Primordial Darkness Manipulation: Nyx can control the primal darkness that has existed before creation, and represents the darker aspect of primal creation alongside the Light, both being two halves of the same coin, yet stand opposite. Due to its primordial nature it goes beyond concepts of good, evil, and even neutrality.
- Omnidirectional Darkness Waves: Nyx can release massive amounts of darkness in every direction at once for almost unlimited scales. This ability allows the user to dispatch many foes at once and destroy large area like villages.
- Conceptual Darkness Manipulation: Nyx can manipulate the abstracts (or concept) of darkness. She can have many feats, such as darkness that can prevent light from existing, darkness that makes things more visible rather then less, produce darkness/shadows that can exist without light, harm things that can absorb or are immune to darkness, produce shadows/darkness that can consume or negate other forms darkness/night/shadows, and much more.
- Esoteric Darkness Manipulation: She can manipulate the esoteric side of the darkness/shadow, with special properties and a mystical nature to it. With mastery, the wielder could use the esoteric element for a variety of magical effects.
- Esoteric Darkness Generation: She can create/generate esoteric darkness, darkness with magic effects, allowing for a wide variety of magical darkness based effects.
- Spiritual Darkness Manipulation: She can create, shape and manipulate darkness/shadows formed from one's soul/spirit. Due to being comprised of spiritual power, the darkness/shadows aren't only stronger than usual darkness/shadows, but also have the power to affect one's soul in varying ways.
- Life Darkness Manipulation: She can create, shape and manipulate creative/life darkness, shadows capable of creating/giving/granting life. This allows them to not only create and give life with their darkness, but even grant it sapience/sentience and possibly even free will/soul of its own. Erebus may even have enough skill to heal/restore others with their shadows.
- Sacred Darkness Manipulation: She can create, shape and manipulate holy darkness that's highly effective against the supernatural, such as demons and/or angels. The effectiveness, in question, can range from trapping and/or immobilizing to outright banishing or killing supernatural threats. Furthermore, divine elements may have other properties and abilities, such as healing, Resurrection, summoning angels and/or spirits of the deceased from Heaven to the material plane.
Immortality: Nyx is absolutely immortal, and cannot die, age, get sick, be permanently wounded, is absolutely self-sustained and, as their mind and soul are as immortal as their biological bodies, they are immune to mental/spiritual damage. Any injuries the user suffers will immediately heal, even if the user's body is disintegrated or blown up or completely erased and even if the She is completely destroyed to the sub-atomic level, they will still return to life. Alternately, some users are absolutely immune to all harm, and can never die from any natural causes. Either way, they are inerasable and are unaffected by time manipulation of any level. Nyx completely transcend the concept of death itself, though many users transcend both the concepts of life and death.
Intangibility: She is able to move through solid objects and ignore most physical effects in their way, exact means how this is done vary between slipping partially into other dimensions, being able to make their own particles move between other particles, being non-physical being of energy, vibrating their molecules into a new quantum frequency, etc. Regardless the user is able to ignore most attacks, physical dangers, and gravity.
Master Stealth: Nyx is a master when it came to stealth, capable of hiding her presence to the point it completely undetectable by gods, monsters, and mortals alike. According to Eris, Nyx would sometimes sneak behind her and said "Hi!" to startle her so that she would shoot his plague arrows in the wrong direction, thus infecting the wrong city, all because she finds that funny.
Flight: Nyx has demonstrated the ability to stay afloat in mid-air and fly faster than the speed of light.
Chaos Abilities
Power of the Primordial Chaos: Nyx obtains the Power of the Primordial Chaos which originally belonged to her mother before going to her, who chose to coexist within her. Unconsciously, Nyx was capable of altering reality and the world itself. She is able to change, mutate, destroy, or otherwise manipulate any matter, space/time, living beings, organizations, or minds and spirits as well as containing it, so it doesn't spread or spreads only on her desired way.
- True Omnipotence: She uses the Power of the Primordial Chaos to gain the abilities destruction, infinity, endless power and others. She was described as both omnipotent and unbeatable by those aware of her existence. God and Azathoth have both parlayed at the possibility of her even existing as an entity of that level of power could not possibly exist.
- Destruction: Nyx can utterly destroy things. Depending on the user, this could be anything and everything from small objects to entire galaxies or universes and possibly even abstract concepts and/or natural forces/laws. Notably, users of this power still have limits - if they lack any limits then this would be an example of Absolute Destruction. What those exact limits are will depend on the user. If the She is able to remove something completely and utterly without leaving anything behind, it may instead be a form of Erasure.
- Creation: Nyx can create organic or inorganic matter from nothing, either as finished objects or simply unfinished elements. Higher level She can create anything they can think of, whether conceptual or sentient. This includes the creation of energy, souls and life of any complexity, dimensions or realities, stars, etc.
- Omni-Manipulation: With Power of the Primordial Chaos, Nyx can manipulate anything, absolutely everything -- be it physical (matter, energy, the space-time fabric, etc.); or metaphysical (soul, mind, life, death, logic, aspects of reality, and even concepts).
- True Omniscience: Nyx knows almost everything in existence while being blocked from certain details or being limited in other ways, possibly only being able to see one timeline or universe, or have just small patches of information that are missing or blocked out. Thus allowing one to keep their sense of free will and uncertainty.
- Chronical Perception: Nyx can see every event across all of the infinite timelines simultaneously. She knows instantly when and how something happened or will happen regardless of what timeline an event occurred.
- Chaos Dragon: Upon activation, chaos powers ruptures a large area around the user, causing the ground to rise up in pillars, before rising into the air to form five enormous, light purple dragons above the user.
- Reality Warping: Nyx has used the Power of the Primordial Chaos to control and bend reality to her whims, capable of altering something as tangible as physics and the universe to something inconceivable like logic. Because of this immense ability, many younger and lesser gods are often led to believing her to possess nigh-omnipotence power, only to be rivaled by the other Progenitors.
- Reality Departure: She can depart/exit reality, allowing her to completely leave it behind and exist separate from it. This would prevent her from being affected by any power that requires one to be in reality.
- Reality Seperation: She exists outside the concepts of reality, and as such is immune to just about anything that would affect or harm them, whether it's any changes or halts made to space, time or reality; any potential changes made will be rectified and restored and regenerated to its original state. Any changes to the reality will be noticed by the user, aware of the differences between the original and any changes.
- True Omnificence: Nyx can create anything without limits, including concepts, existence, reality, and even the totality itself. She can also create from nothing or even to create one thing from another e.g. manifesting an image from a comic book, creating life from the dead, and duplicating anything. She can create basically anything they choose on an unlimited scale.
- Chaotic Energy Manipulation: As the new personification of the primordial chaos, she could create and manipulate chaotic energy in various ways.
- Chaoskampf: She had created a giant serpent three times the size of a Heavenly Dragon, made entirely out of primordial chaotic energy, to combat The Darkness. It possessed the ability to breathe out destructive cosmic flames, spat out countless of solidified needles out of chaotic energy, and spawns numerous smaller beasts from its body. It was said to possess powers on par with the Primordial deities.
- Divine Authority: Nyx has nearly as much authority over the divine aspects of the world as God and Chaos.
- True Omnipresence: Nyx is present everywhere at the same time, referring to an unbounded or universal presence. It is related to the concept of ubiquity, the ability to be everywhere and nowhere (at once). She usually an incorporeally present like an invisible force of being that's literally everywhere yet unseen, felt or heard unless they wish to be interacted with, positively or negatively effecting any and all things in existence by the users presences and will.
- Chaos Perception: She could see into the true chaotic state that makes up existence/reality, allowing her to know how everything in existence comes together and connects, see past any/all falsehoods and lies and anything that is normally hidden/obscured/unknown would be laid completely bare to her, including the true forms of any/all eldritch and cosmic other creatures/entities.
- Chaos Form: Nyx activates Power of the Primordial Chaos to its fullest extent throughout Full Chaos Form, granting her a tremendous boost in speed and strength that not only rivaled that of Chaos but allowed Nyx to easily overwhelm a restrained Amenominakanushi. This was first used against Amenominakanushi to rescue Issei. She can fight on par with his God Form. She could remove energy and matter from existence, by simply making things disappear, preventing energy from ever being conceived or via varied other means. She could also control the essence of oblivion, allowing her to delete an eternity, removing targets from all lineages of time in every dimension, alter, reverse, or negate energy, etc. With this power, she easily obliterated Amenominakanushi's one trillion clones. She was easily able to break the seals which Ayin had placed on him.
- True Chaotic Form: After awakening to her full nature as a True Chaotic Form, Nyx gained control over her own multiverse, with her authority over it overuling both God, Chaos, Azathoth and Great Red, the previous Pre-Existential Entities of the fragment. Chaos claimed had an even bigger destruction potency potential than Bishamonten's Chaos Asura Form. Nyx exists on a higher plane of existence than everything else in her territory, and the world shapes itself to her will under this state, with even attacking her through conventional means being impossible without her direct permission, and she can similarly decide who enters and who leaves it, and what kinds of magic are possible to be utilized within its boundaries. In addition, she can weave stories and tales on a far more advanced scale than other higher-order beings, being able to manipulate countless fragments to piece together her own plotline, as well as rewriting the resulting structure at will.
- Omniverse Manipulation: Nyx can manipulate all/every universe that has, never and will be with infinite/unlimited scale, manipulate everything in every parallel reality, timeline, break any boundaries, etc. in every universe in the Omniverse.
- Omni-Embodiment: Nyx such a powerful force, rather than a power, she is the Totality, since there are no names that define. Nyx could use is the embodiment of everything imaginable, unimaginable, possible, impossible, existent, non-existent, known, unknown, thinkable, unthinkable, created, uncreated, discovered, undiscovered, fictional, nonfictional, perceived, unperceived, etc. thus they have every/any power/ability.
- Omniverse Creation: Nyx can create the infinite collection of realities, universes and multiverses known as the omniverse and everything that occupies them, including it's residents, environment and locations. They can create the residents with roles, powers, and skills to inhabit their omniverse.
- Omniverse Destruction: Nyx can destroy the entire omniverse (a set of infinite universes, realities, and multiverses) and everything in it.
- Omni-Absorption: Nyx can absorb any/all concept, power, universal definition, law, boundary, etc., while removing it from the source, into their body and utilize it in some way.
- Omni-Detection: Nyx can sense the presence of any/all concept, power, universal definition, law, boundary, etc. and gain detailed understanding about everything they sense, including the amount and size of it and whether it is hidden.
- Omni-Negation: Nyx can negate and nullify any/all concept, power, universal definition, law, boundary, etc. making them immune to anything and everything.
- Primordial Force Manipulation: Nyx can control, alter, create, and manipulate anything and everything created by the primordial force, the unique source or origin of every universal concept; in other words, the primordial force that had generated everything, giving them the true position of a Four Great Gods and Monotheistic Deity.
- Absolute Force Manipulation: She can create, manipulate and shape force in all its forms, whether physical, transcendent, natural, spiritual, mental, cosmic, etc. i.e. all the absolute forces that make up the flow and nature of reality. She can turn a tornado into a gentle breeze, bring a raging tsunami to a halt or annihilate a continent simply by slamming ones palm into the earth, provided the user understands the natural forces required for continental destruction.
- Omnilock: She cannot be affected by anything, even temporal paradox or reality warping; and are immune to virtually everything, even Universal Irreversibility and Ultimate Erasure. Outside of everything: space, time, non-space, non-time, duality, probability, improbability, possibility, impossibility, nonexistence, (absolute) nothingness, existence, etc.
- Omni-Protection: She is protected against anything/everything regardless of its nature, whether its physical, mental, spiritual, supernatural or conceptual, allowing them to avoid any/all damage, no matter what the source of it is.
- Higher-Dimensional Manipulation: She can manipulate, destroy, and create greater spatial and temporal dimensions than 3-D space, such as 4-D space and above. According to infinity in projective geometry, and the concept of a Hausdorff dimension, each higher spatial (or added temporal) dimension is a more than countably infinite number of times greater than the preceding number.
- Primordial Reality Manipulation: She can create, shape, and manipulate the primordial reality, the reality before reality or before the concept of reality. This allows them to control the original reality and blueprint/template/drawing board for what reality would become after the creation of existence, including the principles, concepts, laws and forces that would later come to define existence.
- Creation-Destruction Manipulation: She can manipulate events that deal with the beginning or end of universes/multiverses and how they happen, such as the Big Bang, Big Bounce and Big Melt for the beginning of universes and the Big Crunch, Big Freeze and Big Rip for the end of universes. - Omniverse Manipulation: Nyx can manipulate all/every universe that has, never and will be with infinite/unlimited scale, manipulate everything in every parallel reality, timeline, break any boundaries, etc. in every universe in the Omniverse.
Chaos Embodiment: As the new personification of the primordial chaos, thus making her extremely unpredictable and uncontrollable and can cause others to become disorderly and disorganized.
- Chaos Manipulation: Nyx could generate and manipulate the chaotic forces in the universe, allowing them to manipulate probability or manipulate and even shatter reality. She is able to change, mutate, destroy, or otherwise manipulate any matter, space/time, living beings, organizations, or minds and spirits as well as containing it, so it doesn't spread or spreads only on her desired way.
- Chaos Inducement: Nyx can cause chaos in any scale, from minor disorder, confusion and/or disobedience, up to causing massive storms, destruction, loss of laws and order to cause mass panic, etc.
- Chaos Adaptation: Nyx is able to survive and adapt to conditions that are chaotic or ever/quickly changing, from chaotic worlds to areas with different space-time laws that change all the time with randomness to worlds with great strife and discord etc., as well as chaos and/or chaotic energy itself.
- Chaos Mutation: Nyx can undergo mutation to receive heightened abilities and mutated physiology through a chaotic source that may cause the user to change drastically either physically, mentally or spiritually. Nyx may have received various powers over time depending on what kind of power changed them and the nature of chaos manipulation.
- Chaos Negation: Nyx can negate chaos and any chaos-using attacks, ignoring their effects on the user and stopping their effects on creatures, objects or places, such as stopping a riot.
- Chaos Sense: Nyx can sense all kinds of chaos, from disorganization to discord to chaotic structures and much more, making them able to discern what kind of chaos there is or how chaotic something is.
- Anarchy Manipulation: She could create and manipulate strife and anarchy, causing conflict and disagreement between others to disorganize individuals or groups, or cause internal strife.
- Anarchy Inducement: She possesses the ability to invoke an absence or lack of government over a large radius ranging from small villages to large cities to create mass riots, rebellion, and social disorder and disruption.
- Paradox Manipulation: She is able to surpass and ignore the laws of reality, logic, common sense, etc, making them able to cause anything to happen or not happen. However, due to her genuinely annoyed and dislikes paradox as a whole, she mainly uses this ability to track down and destroy the causes of these paradoxes.
- Butterfly Effect: She could control, foresee, and even create the Butterfly Effect, i.e. all the different causes and their reaction that can have a huge net effect on the whole system. All the causes may be small and completely unrelated to each other in both space and time, yet they can cause many big things in the flow of time which no one can predict.
Disaster Manipulation: Nyx could create and manipulate all forms of disasters, both natural disasters and man-made disasters alike. In Mount Olympus, she gleefully threatened the Occult Research Club to stop asking her uncomfortable questions before she got mad and cause a worldwide nuclear war.
- Atmokinesis: She could generate and manipulate various forms of weather phenomena, most of which related to natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, drought, etc. She could also control the intensity of the weather in highly concentrated (inside room) or vastly extended (continental) areas.
- Unpredictability: As the Primordial personification of chaos itself, Nyx possesses an absolutely chaotic and unpredictable nature, making it nearly impossible to predict her following actions, despite how obvious they potentially are.
- Destabilization: Nyx could create destabilization in objects, environment, or even abilities causing balance distortion ranging from single molecules to cosmic scales.
- Disintegration: She could cause targets (whether organic or inorganic material) to lose cohesion in various means, from wiping away her target on a molecular level or even reverting matter into pure energy. However, as the targets are only reduced to either molecular dust or energy, not absolutely annihilated and could be reformed.
Nihilikinesis: As the Primordial goddess of nothingness, Nyx possesses divine authority and near-absolute control over nothingness - the absence of entities or substance. Godly Virgin Killer Clothes: A special clothing given to her by the Gods in the Alliance of Hell which allows her to be immune to the attacks of virgins. That is, techniques such as "Dress Break" and "Pailingual" cannot work against the wearer. Clothes are capable of protecting even from such abilities using Infiltration. When touched by virgins, clothing imposes a fatal curse on them. However, it does not protect against the shock-wave of a canceled attack. Cao Cao suggested that Nyx might have been lying and that it was actually "clothing that protects against dragon attacks."
House of Ideas: The House of Ideas is the residence of Nyx. Within this area, endless stories will arise and thoughts and ideas can be physical shapes. The home has many beginnings on earth, as humanity is so important to Nyx's design and it was recently revealed in Hewlett Harbor, Los Angeles. It can create things according to her ideas and can change everything she actually wants.
Nýchta: A powerful divine blade that is wielded by Nyx. It is able to control darkness and use it as a weapon. It is the counterpart blade to Erebus' Skotádi. Nyx has, on more than one occasion, used Nýchta's wide blade as a shield from incoming attacks, and for deflecting energy attacks. Unlike most divine blades, which can be sealed into their original form, Nýchta is always in its blades form. Amatsu-Mikaboshi has stated her divine blades is a full-time released form type because of Nyx's vast but uncontrollable divine aura upon generation of it, implying it is simply a type of divine blade which, without proper control of her darkness, remains in blades form once in said state.
- Celestial Shade: Nyx imbues the sword in Amenominakanushi's power, creating a blade that can cut all spatial constructs.
