Appearance[]

Oskar wears teal shorts, blue shoes, a green vest over a white button-up shirt, and a red tie. He has messy black hair that has multiple spikes. Occasionally, he is seen wearing a green jacket instead of his usual vest.

Personality[]

Oskar is very good hearted, earnest and fairly kind; he is also very supportive towards all of his friends and goes to great lengths to make sure that everyone is happy and safe; no matter the risk or consequence, being fair even to bullies like Stoker.

Oskar is a vegetarian and does not particularly like or care for traditional vampire food. However, other than his hemophobia, Oskar has most of the qualities that vampires have; such as sleeping in a coffin, weakness to garlic, sensitive pale skin that can turn to ash by the sunlight, fangs, having the ability of transformation to abat, controlling his shadow and lack of reflection in mirrors and on film. Even so, Oskar is very much different than his fellow vampires, and he often realizes how different he really is from the others.

Due to having the headmaster of the school as his uncle, Oskar often gets pressured by his family's history and Count Alarich reminds him constantly to bring glory to the Horrificus name. He is often mocked of his traits by Stoker Flestcher, and the two are constantly fighting over silly things. He somehow manages to pass the tests in every episode despite his circ*mstances, making all his uncle and other faculty very proud of him.

Relationships[]

Sunshine Polidori[]

Oskar von Horrificus (1)

Oskar is best friends with Sunshine, going through many hardships due to her grandfather being a vampire hunter, because he has a crush on her. He's constantly concerned about Sunshine finding out he's a vampire, but he always makes time to see her, going on dates and even attending events such as her school dance. He protects Sunshine whenever she is in danger, and goes to long lengths to keep her safe. Trusting her with his problems, although hiding that they come from the fact that he's a vampire, they've shared many moments together throughout the series, although it is never clarified if they're a couple or if they only like each other.

Even if it is shown that Sunshine likes Oskar back, he's shown to often take the first step and make an attempt at being romantic, bringing her roses every time he visits her, taking care of her cats so they don't go to an animal shelter, asking Leechy to cover for him while he visits her, immediately being very worried when he sees that she is injured or sick, and having two instances where he's shown to give her elaborate gifts: in Demon Within, Sunshine wears a silk scarf she mentions Oskar gave to her as a birthday gift; and in Birthday Present for a Girl, where Oskar goes to great lengths to get a good birthday gift for her. There are many times where he looks at her with an enamored expression.

Gothetta Gothetticus[]

Oskar von Horrificus (2)

Gothetta is Oskar's only female friend at his school, since she is the only female student. Gothetta has a crush on Oskar but the feeling is unrequited, and seems to be oblivious to Oskar, who only sees her as a best friend and who is in love with Sunshine Polidori instead. Despite this, the two are very close friends and they trust each other with almost all of their situations, and they are always there for each other. Gothetta shows a lot of jealousy when it comes to the relationship between Oskar and Sunshine, and rages on Oskar on how wrong it is for a vampire to be in love with a human; but despite this, she'll help him through all his troubles with her, saving him in multiple scenarios where he is in danger with Professor Polidori.

Princess Nerfativi[]

Oskar von Horrificus (3)

Princess Nerfativi is immediately intrigued with Oskar considering that he is the nephew of Count Alarich von Horrificus. Oskar tends to have taken an interest in her too, as he brags to her about his relationship with the count and goes far as to saying that they are close. Oskar also tries to hide the fact that he is scared of blood from Nerfativi.

Pets[]

Oskar Jr. Jr.[]

Oskar von Horrificus (4)

In the episode, The Cat's Meow: Oskar Jr. Jr. used to be Sunshine's cat, but begged Oskar to take care of all her cats so they wouldn't be taken to the shelter. Oskar Jr. Jr. becomes a vampire cat when Lenny bites him, and ultimately becomes Oskar's new pet. Although mainly being a one-off character, he makes an appearance in another episode, where Klot hypnotizes him as practice in Transformer.

Trivia[]

  • Gothetta and Oskar are the only ones with a pet.
  • He was delivered to castle by the vampost and had been with his uncle since he was an infant, although the reason is not revealed.
