Not the best for kids.

This game is fun, but there is mild swearing, inappropriate references and characters, and a toxic community.

Don't get this game. :/

Don't bother the game is a diseased cash cow at this point. Quality wise the game is all over the place in terms of visuals with some characters having semi decent visuals and others looking like playstation 1 assets, ironically older champs fit in better due to leagues outdated design being on par with an early ps2 game.Game is not balanced in any regard, players are super toxic and there are no pve game modes available for casual fans to enjoy.Content is also non existent if you exclude their mass quantity of skins, which are only obtainable through in game purchases using an overpriced premium currency. They do have loot crates which offer a microfraction of a chance at obtaining a skin for the champion you like, but those can only be obtained through grinding the toxic cesspool called pvp matches.Comp is also riddled with boosters and cheaters, something riot is notorious for ignoring. Unfortunately the game is hyperfixated on making competitive the main focus, causing a heightened level of tension in the player base, making it very unfriendly towards younger audiences.Basically don't get the game, it's not fun and they don't plan on fixing any of its major issues any time in the near future.

A very shady company, producing very toxic games

Riot Games is known for having the most toxic games out there. But there is more to it.I had an account worth about $100 in digital goods. I decided to ask for my account data, and they told me that it takes over 30 days. This is very unusual as most businesses will do that within 3 business days. I told them that is too long and then my account was banned permanently. This is very shady, as I could not access my personal data, and a scam as I lost a $100+ account.Keep in mind, Riot's game Valorant is known to install a spyware into your operating system as a rootkit, giving Riot administrative power to your machine. It is the same company that had to pay $100 million in settlement of class-action gender discrimination lawsuit.Riot Games is now part of Tencent, a company that has been sued multiple times for defamation (Moontoon lawsuit), noncompliance with laws protecting minors (Beijing), money laundering, and received antitrust fines. To summarise, Riot Games is the peak of incompetence, contempt, and fraud.Do yourself a favour and never play any of their games. You will avoid the most toxic games out there and prevent financing a very shady business.

AVOID PLEASE AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, Whatever you do don't let your children play this game. This game ruined my child's life, he was a very calm individual but this game promotes a sense of hostility and I found my kid getting very agitated and angry to the point it was interfering with his school life. He hasn't quite been the same since playing this game, he is much more short fused and angry as this game is very competitive and promotes toxic behaviour and hostility. He was also was scammed out of some money while playing this game as it cons you to put money into it and then takes all of that money back. I REPEAT AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR KID. There are much safer games out there such as fortnite, apex and pretty much anything other than this game, please do avoid though as it can be detrimental to your child's wellbeing.

Easy but Toxic MOBA with Developer negligence

League has always been a simple to play MOBA compared to others, at least up until SMITE was released. However the game is mainly plagued by toxic players with too much time on their hands whom aren't punished due to the profit they bring. Unlike DOTA 2, you do not start with all characters unlocked. In the event a player receives a ban, whether temporarily or permanently they may create an alt account and opt to buy their favored champs and skins again. There is also an illegitimacy problem with the games ranked modes due to players who are paid to sandbag lower ranks while playing with others to boost their rank. This problem again, not curbed due to anonymity and potential profitability.Until they force single accounts worldwide like the South Korean laws do within their country, the quality of the online experience will always suffer.

A decent game ruined by toxicity

While the game itself can be fun at times, it's been flooded by a very toxic community and patches that do more harm than good.

Prevent your child from playing this

I have spent too much time on this game (9,000 hours) and my best advice to parents is to prevent your child from playing it like you would prevent them from crack cocaine. The game can easily destroy your child's life through them getting bad grades because they want to play the game more or become "toxic" as in they will use insults more and be disrespectful to others in real life. In-game, your child can be told to kill themself which is common and also be "flamed" as in their teammates will insult and berate them for performing badly since it's a competitive team vs team game. There's also some sad people who purposely lose the game for his/her team by doing something called inting, this can also be a menace as losing always has this bad, terrible feeling to it.Nobody is preventing anyone from doing all that, since it's an online game with anonymity and nearly every single match, you are matched up with random strangers you have never met before since the game is so populated. It's also not suitable for younger teens as most characters released these days are lewd and oversexualized, which is the company's only source of income - by buying more characters and their "skins" which is just different clothes and cosmetics for a character. If your child has already started playing and may be addicted, my best advice would be to either forcefully prevent them from ever playing or if that does not work, find them other hobbies they could replace the game with. Thank you for reading and spread the word please!
