PIERCING FOR MINORS | Black Lace Ink (2024)

Piercings for Minors

We offer several different piercings for our underage clients. Our age range begins at 8 years old and goes up from there. We do require specific documentation per the State Health Department. ALL clients MUST have a government issued ID. (Please see acceptableforms of identification below).

All of our piercings are by hand with needle using brand new sterile needles every time, disposable equipment, and sterile tools. We use 316L Surgical grade steel jewelry making every piece of jewelry we use hypoallergenic.

Our Master Piercer has over 20 years of experience in the business as a piercer and is classicly trained. Your kiddos are in great hands. Check out the available piercings for kids under 18. For a better understanding of the cartilage piercings, check out the diagram below.

Ear Lobe Piercings

For ages 8 and up.

For kiddos that want to get their first ear lobe piercings orthose that are looking to get seconds or even thirds ;All of our piercings are done by needle and not with a gun. For children under 10 years old we highly recommend scheduling a free piercing consult with our Master Piercer. During this consult, you and your child will have an opportunity to view the piercing room, see the tools, see the jewelry, and ask questions.

Cartilage Piercings (Helix)

For ages 13 and up.

For the more adventurous young adult looking to get their first or more cartilage piercing(s), we offer the basic helix piercing. See diagram for locations. Cartilage piercings take far greater care than a lobe piercing, so make sure that your child is ready to make that commitment when deciding to get their first cartilage piercing.

Bellybutton (Navel)

For ages 13 and up.

Bellybutton or Navel piercings are the first in what we like to call a big kid piercing. These piercings take even more care than a cartilage piercing with longer heal times but are a must have for the trendy teen. Navel piercings are considered a surface piercing as the barbell goes completely through several layers of dermis.

Nose (Nostril)

For ages 16 and up.

A nose piercing of any type is a huge step in a teen's outward appearance being an up front and center type of piercing. It is pierced with the smallest gauge of body piercing jewelry so that it may remain a dainty piercing while allowing them to be pretty bold. Getting a facial piercing of any type is a huge responsibility and keeping their faces clean is an absolute MUST.
