Where can I get military grade duct tape? ›

Locations. Three can be found at Clancy Manor, on the second floor on a metal shelf. Two can be found at Camp McClintock. One on the second floor of the main building and the second one outside the army barracks.

In the Army, in infantry, airborne, and other such units, we used what we would call “hundred mile an hour” tape. It's like duct tape, but much thicker and stronger. As a matter of fact, in the civilian world, it's Gorilla Tape, which I have used faithfully since I got out of the Army.

What should you not use duct tape for? ›

Wet surfaces: While duct tape is water resistant, it should only be used for emergency leak repairs. Prolonged submersion in water will cause the adhesion to peel away. Hot surfaces: Surfaces that reach temperatures over 140°F cause duct tape's adhesive to soften, lose its strength, and slip from the attachment.
