There are a lot of great survival games out there, with some of them offering up pretty unique experiences. Raft is a great example, tasking players with surviving a harsh island-based wilderness by crafting a manmade raft and navigating a series of islands. It's a challenging adventure made all the more entertaining by bringing a friend along. But even with two players tackling tasks together, the unforgiving sea can be overwhelming.

This is especially true when it comes to the fauna prowling the area. Players that want to survive the onslaught of enemies will need to craft weapons and keep them close by. There aren't a lot of weapons available in Raft but crafting them all can mean the difference between life and death. Here's a look at every weapon in Raft and how to obtain them.

Wooden Spear

As is common with other survival games, players will find themselves scrounging for materials in Raft's early game. The opening hours are spent trying to amass enough materials to travel between islands and players will soon find they're not alone on the wide-open ocean. To defend themselves, survivors can quickly and easily piece together a makeshift Wooden Spear. This low-tier weapon only does a single point worth of damage and can't kill much besides the errant Seagull but crafting it can mean the difference between life and death in the game's earliest moments.

To craft the spear, players need to piece together the following materials:

• 8 Planks
• 3 Ropes

Once players start to get their bearings and are capable of obtaining better materials, they'll want to ditch their Wooden Spear in favor of something with actual damage potential. The Metal Spear is the obvious upgrade and will allow players to dish out punishment to enemies with its quick stabs. It's perhaps the best weapon in the game thanks to its speed, favored by survivors that value quick jab attacks over anything else.

To snag the metal version of the Spear, survivors need to toss together:

• 6 Planks
• 2 Metal Ingots
• 2 Ropes
• 1 Bolt

Machete

There's only one other melee weapon that's obtainable (legitimately) in Raft, and it's the ever-imposing Machete. Not only is this large knife capable of slashing through tape and vegetation that would otherwise block the player's progression but it dishes out hefty damage numbers when used against enemies. It hits harder than the Metal Spear but with a slower attack speed. If players want to craft a Machete they'll first need to gain the blueprint for it, which is found in the Mama Bear's Cave on Balboa Island.

Once they have the blueprint, survivors can craft the Machete with:

• 3 Scrap
• 2 Metal Ingot
• 2 Rope
• 2 Bolt

There's only one ranged weapon (that deals damage) available to players in Raft and it's the Basic Bow. Those that wish to attack their enemies from a distance will need to piece together this makeshift launcher, while also crafting ammunition via arrows. The Bow can be a game-changing weapon as it allows players to more easily hunt prey and fend off predators. Arrows can be looted from the bodies of anything a player slays, as well as from the ground should they miss a shot.

Crafting the bow requires:

• 6 Planks
• 4 Ropes
• 2 Vine Goo
• 1 Bolt

There are two types of arrows that players can craft to go along with the bow. The first are Stone Arrows, which can be made using:

• 6 Plastic
• 3 Stones
• 3 Planks

Those that want to dish out a bit more damage with their Basic Bow will want to craft Metal Arrows, which require:

• 6 Feathers
• 3 Planks
• 1 Metal Ingot
