Description
Tweedis described as woody, mossy, floral, fougere but all agree it is a fresh and easy-to-wear scent that is not too heavy. Tweed was originally released under the name Risque Tout (Risk Everything) when it was exported to Europe, Central and South America. In the U.S. it was popular between the 1940s and the 1960s and was targeted at young women as a first scent. It is the best known and most successful of all Lentheric scents.
The company changed hands many times and I did find information that Tweed had been reformulated by Arthur Burnham and relaunched in association with Yardley in 1992. It looks as though the most recent distributor is Taylor of London.
Tweed is still available for purchase.
This is the original cologne version of the fragrance.

5RETRO - LENTHERIC TWEED COLOGNE
Like a huge hug from the past!! My mother used to wear this and smelling it now reminds me of her.
