What is the acceptance rate for rise global challenge? ›

Rise (0.2% acceptance rate) is a joint initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust, funded by a $1 billion commitment from former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, that finds brilliant people who need opportunity and supports them for life as they work to serve others.

Rise depends on trusted partnerships with global institutions that have long been committed to identifying and supporting young people with the potential to build a better world.

We got the same email. Is RISE program very competitive ? Yes, it is a very competitive program with around a 7% acceptance rate.

The Society encourages all students between the ages of 15 and 17 to apply and seize an opportunity to make an even greater impact on our planet. In fact, everyone who applies joins a global community of leaders, gaining access to a wealth of opportunities from our partners around the world.

This year's winners were selected from over 13,000 applicants from 47 countries, from Azerbaijan and Burkina Faso to Lebanon and Paraguay. The selection process includes group interviews, peer and expert review of each applicant's service project, and formal talent assessments.

Live Evaluation Up to 500 Finalists will move onto Stage 3, where they will participate in a series of activities and interviews. These applicants are further evaluated by an additional review panel that selects 100 Global Winners.

After applicants complete the Rise Challenge, Rise selects up to 500 Finalists to advance to “Finalist Days,” where they demonstrate their motivations, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills in an innovative interview format.

In a common variation the sponsor sends the student a check for the scholarship but requires the recipient to send back a check for the taxes or some other fees. Or the sponsor sends a check for more than the scholarship amount and asks the recipient to send back a check for the difference.

Rhodes Scholarship - The Rhodes Scholarship was instituted in 1902 to sponsor brilliant academic students in their various fields. Fulbright Scholarship - The Fullbright scholarship was established to honor a past senator of Arkansas, Senator J. Williams.

The application is free, and there is no cost to Rise Global Winners or their families to participate in the Rise program.

How much is Rise scholarship? ›

Each RISE award amount will be $2,500.00. Any grant or scholarship money awarded to the student may be considered a non-federal match to the RISE Financial Literacy scholarship.

Another reason why scholarships are hard to obtain is the number of applications submitted for the same scholarship. Many scholarships receive hundreds of applications for an award that only has one winner. This means thousands of people could apply and not even be considered.
