Shall I take an empty suitcase?are clothes that much cheaper

Hello everyone, I go to Bangkok in December (change of plans from the Carpathians, long story!) question I have is just how much cheaper are branded clothes to buy in Bangkok, I suppose relative to the UK. For example if I where to buy Levis jeans in Bangkok just how much as a percentage would I save? Now I know that I cannot get a definitive answer so just a general idea would be very helpful. I was thinking of going to the Platinum Mall

Platinum mall does not sell branded items.
Back in the day before I moved here, I would travel here with just a carry on. If I need extra luggage case, I would just buy it here. Luggage bags are cheap.
Needless to say I have many bags sitting back home in TO.
Not sure about where you come from but I found the price of branded items the same or even higher then back home. But if you happen to hit Sales time. The prices are a bargian. Throw in the Vat refund and it great.

For branded goods there is little difference we've found between Thailand shopping malls and places like TK Maxx and Outlet Stores. On the other hand non-branded clothes are cheaper and very good value and better made than "copies".

It's hit and miss. But right now it's sales season. You can fund branded items as much as 70% off.
Most malls here have event areas. Be sure to check those out. the sales are great. The missus just bought a pair of Alexander McQueen puma for 70%off!!! And I got a pair of matsush*ta pumas for 50% off.
