Sims 4 Hotel Mod - Everything You Need To Know! — SNOOTYSIMS (2024)

About Hotels in Sims 4

The Sims 4 has always been a great game for those of us who enjoy simulating the real world and giving it an alternate touch. And by this, I mean everything that the real world can offer – from building amazing homes to creating new and interesting family members. And while the idea of travel isn’t new to TS4, we’ve never really been able to visit and stay in hotels. But that’s all about to change thanks to the Sims 4 hotel mod!

Why is the hotel mod such an excellent idea for the game?

First of all, hotels are one of the most popular places people stay in when they travel the world. Second, hotels can be great experiences for everyone. And third, hotels introduce a new type of gameplay that The Sims 4 definitely needs!

What do I mean by his?

Well, not only is the hotel and resort mod great for regular gameplay, but the mod also lets you own a hotel in Sims 4. And if you’ve never run a resort but always dreamt of doing so, this is your chance!

So, without further ado, let’s get into the Sims 4 hotel mod 2021!

Sims 4 Hotel Mod by Kawaiistacie: an Overview

The official name of the mod I’m talking about here is Resorts & Hotels Mod. This Sims 4 hotel mod is done entirely by kawaiistacie, whom I often feature here on SnootySims. I dare say she is the best creator when it comes to new, interesting, and realistic mods for the game, so definitely check more of her creations.

Now let’s see what you can do with this mod.

How to Build a Hotel?

In short, the Resorts & Hotels mod works by adding the “resort/hotel” lot trait to your game. When you put this trait on a lot, it immediately becomes a resto/hotel, so you can visit it or own it.

There are a few requirements when it comes to building a hotel or a resort lot in Sims 4:

  • Bedroom (Double & Single beds)
  • Kitchen (Stove, fridge, counter)
  • Multiple front Desk (Desk, chair, Computer)
  • Bathroom (Toliet, shower/tub, sink)
  • Fun activities (Pool, TV, etc…)

Kawaiistacie says to stay away from generic lots as well, and that’s my friendly advice too.

How Much Does Staying in Hotels Cost?

First of all, when you arrive at the hotel/resort, it might take up to 3 hours for the resort to open. Don’t be alarmed if you have to wait a bit because it’s part of the process.

It costs $100 to simply enter a hotel lot in Sims 4. This includes all expenses and food as well. However, you’ll need to pay $50 for each day you’re staying. That’s why it’s important to know that you should leave before 11 AM if you don’t want to pay another $50.

Can You Become a Hotel Owner with This Sims 4 Hotel Mod?

The Resorts & Hotels mod allows you to become a resort owner. All you need to do is have your Sim open the resort lot and create the appropriate event that lasts for 24 hours. It costs anywhere from $500 to $1000 to cover the staff costs. But you can close the place whenever you want.

What to do if your hotel mod is not working? I suggest you read the official notes by kawaiistacie for the mod here.

Conclusion

Even though the Resorts & Hotels is a complete hotel mod that you can use in TS4, there are other options. Some players use a Sims 4 hotel mod by littlemssam, which is called More Buyable Venues. This mod isn’t technically a hotel, but it has many different venues for your game. For example, there is a relaxation home venue (close to a hotel), a holiday home, a bar, a lounge, and more!
