A Castle for Christmas stars Brooke Shields as an American novelist named Sophie Brown. Cary Elwes co-stars as Myles, a Scottish Duke. The protagonists develop romantic feelings for each other in a historic castle and contemplate the immediate future. Scored by composer Jeff Rona (Homicide: Life on the Street), the Netflix Christmas movie features several holiday-themed tracks, courtesy of music supervisor Dylan Neely (The Farewell). - “Superhero” by Groenland (00:00:00): The A Castle for Christmas soundtrack song plays during the opening sequence. Images of Emma Gale’s publications fill the screen during a cityscape visual. The title character narrates about her career.
- “Tonight” by Katy Pearson (00:06:00): Sophie arrives in Scotland. She travels to Dunbar and reaches her castle destination. Myles works and tries to control his dog named Hamish.
- “Older and Taller” byRegina Spektor (00:10:00): Sophie finishes a phone call with her editor. She takes a bicycle ride through the Scottish countryside. Sophie pays a visit to Dun Dunbar Castle.
