Sutton Stracke reacts to Lisa Rinna’s ‘sad’ exit from ‘RHOBH’ (2024)
Sutton Stracke is sad that Lisa Rinna won’t be returning for the new season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” despite their falling out.
“You know, I think we’re all sad that Lisa’s leaving,” Stracke told E! News on Saturday, adding, “I think she will be missed.”
Stracke also added that Rinna’s drama will certainly be missed.
“She always loved to stir that pot and then we all liked to taste the soup,” Stracke, 51, said. “So I think we’ll miss Lisa’s soup.”
Stracke added that she thinks Rinna, 59, will be around and that her exit from the show will hopefully be a time of reflection.
“I don’t think this is the last we’ll see from her and I think it’s going to be a nice time of reflection for her, is what I’m hoping, and I wish Lisa all the best,” Stracke said.
“This is the longest job I have held in my 35 year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,”Rinna told Peoplein a statement Thursday.“It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
The “Melrose Place” alum and Stracke famously feuded during Season 12 of the show whenthe latter claimed to have invited Rinna and her husband,Harry Hamlin, as her guests toElton John’s annual Oscars party but that she never received a “thank you.”
But Rinna asserted that she and her husband were always invited to the starry soirée, had been attending since 2006 and were “never guests of Sutton Stracke ever.”
“Look, Lisa and I have our own special relationship,” she told us in May 2022. “And I can’t help it, I adore her. She could hate me, but I still love her.”
Stracke admittedly owes her Bravo career to Rinna. She joined the series in 20202 as a “friend of” before transitioning into a full-time cast member. Stracke said she is grateful for Rinna’s help getting her the gig.
“I was appreciative and I did thank her,” Stracke had shared.
Rinna has caused quite a stir in recent years and has become a villain on the show. One of her most controversial moments was when she tried to take down Kathy Hilton over her “meltdown” during the cast trip to Aspen.

Kathy denied Rinna's allegations and called Rinna “the biggest bully in Hollywood.” During the tense reunion, Rinna said that Kathy was having “a psychotic break,” in Aspen and called her “the devil.” Sutton Stracke also called out Rinna during the reunion. She stated that Rinna was “brutal” to her during the season.
Stracke also revealed she hasn't talked to Rinna since the Season 12 reunion, but hopes they will reconnect since they run in the same circles. “At the end of the reunion, it seemed good,” the Sutton boutique owner reflected. “I would like to get to a place with Lisa where we're friends again, eventually.
The altercation stemmed from Sutton's appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" last September, during which she claimed Lisa and Harry Hamlin never thanked her for bringing them as guests to one of Elton John's Oscar parties, which is also a charity event.
Erika Jayne called Sutton Stracke a “bitchy f—king c—t” on Wednesday night's fourth and final installment of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 11 reunion. Jayne's harsh words came as she and Stracke rehashed their fight at Kathy Hilton's dinner from this season.
Unlike her friend, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton wasn't an immediate fan favorite. In fact, fans kind of hated her. She got a villain edit in Season 10 and the Southern Belle received criticism for how she handled drama on the show. However, Sutton is proof that no one's reputation is written in stone.
“Of course, I mean Kyle is a friend of mine on television and off television,” Erika said. The blonde beauty continued to explain how “hard” it can be sharing your life onscreen but reassured that she'll always be in Kyle's corner.
Besides drama, the housewives show us their different friendship dynamics, which brings a lot of joy for the viewers to see them having fun with each other. Many of the ladies on the reality series have known each other for years, but most relationships seen on the show are formed in front of the cameras.

Sutton's been too “busy” to reach out to Dorit after announcing separation. In an interview with TooFab, Sutton said she was shocked by Dorit and PK's split but didn't expect the news to get out. “I don't think shocked is the right word, I was surprised it went public,” she said.
