Austrian state television ORF announced yesterday that 150 employees from Swarovski factory in Tirol were laid off. This is the greatest and most important production facility for the brand. The company intends to relocate most of the production means to China and the Czech Republic. We would like to underline the fact that this relocation is possible and is not dependant of natural resources. The company manufactures the crystals based on sand.
