Complexion make-up includes foundation, concealers and bronzers. These are taken from the neutrals area of the palette.

Foundation & Concealer

Bright Winter skin is neutral-cool and comes in a wide range of shades, from fair to deep. Lighter skin tones often have a certain translucent quality to them. And darker skins have a glowy, almost glassy shine to them.
However, it's not possible to give recommendations on complexion make-up - such as foundation and concealer. These are best colour-matched to your individual skin.

Generally, though, foundation and concealer are best when they have a sheer or satin finish.

Avoid yellow and peachy tones,which have warm undertones and will clash with your naturally cool complexion. And steer clear of matte finishes, which will make you look dull.

Bronzer is not a make-up product designed for Bright Winters since its purpose is to bring out a golden warmth, which Bright Winters do not possess. Stay away from bronzers,as they will simply look off on you.

If you want to add some highlights to your face, apply somehighlighterto your cheeks instead. It will add some shimmer without the golden tones of a bronzer.

Since Bright Winter eyes have a natural intensity to them, so should their eye make-up. Don't be afraid of colour, it's only natural for this season.

And while colourful is the right keyword, dark is not what Bright Winter is about. Since Bright Winter is influenced by the lighter Spring season, anything too dark will look out of place on you.

Opt for a shimmery or frosted finish on eyeshadows.

Generally, Bright Winter blushes are a cool coral or reddish-pink colour. Depending on the depth of your skin tone, choose the corals for lighter skin tones and the reds for darker skin tones. Some trial and error may be required to find the perfect shade.

Avoid overly warm oranges and peach colours that will clash with your cooler appearance.

Bright Winter lipsticks are, of course, bright! Fromfuchsia over red to purple,these are not shy colours.

But even though these colours may at first glance seem bold, don't be afraid. They will look very natural on you and not at all attention-grabbing because they mimic the natural intensity of your appearance.

Avoid dark colours, warm oranges and yellow-based reds. Nude lips are also not great on you because they lack the intensity that you need.

Bright Winter make-up is at its best when it's contrasted and colourful.
When we think of a natural make-up look, we often think of nude, skin-tone or bare lips and very little eye make-up in neutral colours. However, this type of 'natural' look does not work on Bright Winters. And it's a wrong idea that we need to get out of our heads.

A natural look is one that will mimic the characteristics of your natural appearance. For a Bright Winter, this means high contrast and intensity. A nude lip on a Bright Winter will make them look washed out and off. What is required here is a bold lip paired with defined eye make-up.

Even though this might seem unintuitive at first, this is what will look natural on a Bright Winter.

One important thing to remember for a Bright Winter make-up look is that both your eyes and your lips must have the same intensity. Don't go for just a bold lip with minimum eye make-up. It will unbalance your face.
